The Amazing Spider-Man Spider sense tingeling

Objection, the 90's series has the best spider sense. Best series ever.
Overruled
I hate the useless background for the 90s show Spider-Sense

ON THE OTHER HAND, THE LIGHT BULBS:
Iceman: Turn out the lights, he'll see us
Spider-Man: That's no light you nincompoomp, it's my Spidey-Sense, and he's already seen us

DA BEST IN ANIMATION

Always loved the way the 90`s series depicted the Spider Sense, but I did like the way Raimi did it in his movies.

I think however they choose to do it in this franchise it will need to be obvious what is going on and I'm not sure they can get that effect with the squiggly lines as they had in Spectacular Spider-Man or even the awful MTV series.

I would love to see spider man's spider-sense in like Spider-Man the New Animated Series.

The half mask could work. Hell, do the entire face with the mask.

Slip it in in one or two frame and there you go. We've all seen Fight Club. Where Durden shows up in a frame, make that the same amount of time the mask shows up on his face or maybe a frame more.

But then again, it could cause seizures...

The half mask wouldn't work, because that only works when he is Peter and his spider sense is triggered. What happens when he is already Spider-Man? Having half a Peter face doesn't work unless it's his Peter sense tingling.

It could, as long as his face looks extra surprised/ worried.

whatever method they come up with they should use it WHENEVER spidey is in danger.

sam, love ya *mwah!!* but there are several time when the spider sense is ignored as a plot device. I know spidey can (and has) ignored his spider sense but it should still go off.

I'd rather it not go off every single time. Or, we don't see it going off every single time. You know in the first film where Pete's stood next to the wall and the hairy hooks come out of his fingers? Well, we saw it once and then took it it happened every time he climbed a wall or perched. Yes, we'll want to see the Spidey sense more than that, but you get what I mean? We can assume it happens when not put in our face. Sometimes it would be best to assume it happens and keep the pace of the action.

spidey's spider sense wont break the pace of the movie, all it needs is a simple cut of 'something'

SM2 - car about to hit peter on bike - spider sense - peter back somersault over car

SM3 - harry about to grab peter off bike - nothing - harry grabs peter off bike

seriously, WTF?!!

Well that depends on how they show the spider sense, no?

And, 'seriously, WTF?!!', calm down--I'm allowed to disagree with you without duelling to the death in a Kirk-Spock spoof. If we did, I would win. And your avatar would no longer bounce and you wouldn't be able to spin a web any size and I would change my custom title to Captain Awesomest and then implement your avatar into my avatar just to show who owns and whose balls are the hairiest. So stop right now because that all sounds like hard work.

the 'wtf?!' was directed at sam.

^I like this ship...it's exciting!

Perhaps I'm just seeing things, but everytime I watch Spider-Man 3, I swear I see a curious expression of recognition pop up on Peter's face right before Harry swoops in on him.

Yeh, there's been screen caps on that very issue. It's a bit too subtle but it's there.

I would like it to be mainly shown by the use of sound and not visually tbh. Like, you see through his body language that he's sensing danger, and the sounds surrounding him (such as traffic, people walking etc.) becomes very subdued (or is half muted a better word for it?) with some sort of alarming, sharp sound layered over it.

This.

If you look at Peter's face before Harry swoops down, you can clearly see a reaction to an imminent danger. Don't forget, Peter was pretty happy and content at the time, and it has often been said in the comics that Peter can consciously or subconsciously suppress his Spider-Sense with some effort.

It's possible that Harry wouldn't exactly register as an actual threat since they were so close. (That closeness was something that Perter was trying to hold onto, seeing him as a friend brother who he wanted to fix things with, and consciously and subconsciously a non-threat [too much love])
