... how should be the spider sense pictured in the movie ????? (are you happy how it was done in the past - sometimes we saw it, sometimes not ...)
but promissed: last time i bother you with that questions :)

I liked how it was done in the Raimi films. And yes, sometimes it should be shown, and other times it should just be accepted that it's there but unseen.

.. frankly, you liked the "what is in the future scene" shown with the train ??? (when he saw that it ends?) .. i always pictured the spider sense as some feeling of danger - this scene reminded me the good ol' hammond movies ... but u r right : it is not easy to translate this straight back from the comics ....

Actually, not so much that particular example. I didn't have it in mind when I replied. I just like the slow-mo and being aware of what's around him.

.... wow, i loved the slow-mo as well ! but it always bothered me that than the goblin was not beating in slow-mo - i mean, his power is not super-speed, right .... so it was not too logical for me how it was pictured! again: i do love the slow mo - best scene ever

I wanna see the wavy little lighten bolts over his head…

lol

I'd like to see the air surrounding his head flickering, like when the air shimmers due to intense heat or escaping gas.

.. well, hmmm, that is actually i very clever and nice approach .... wow, congrats, like that

I would like it to be mainly shown by the use of sound and not visually tbh. Like, you see through his body language that he's sensing danger, and the sounds surrounding him (such as traffic, people walking etc.) becomes very subdued (or is half muted a better word for it?) with some sort of alarming, sharp sound layered over it.

When his spider sense show up, I want the background to be shown as a tint color of blue or purple, something that signifies that the ability is being used.

I hope the slow-mo is gone. It's amazing how much they made him actually similar to Spider-Man 2099. He can see fast moving objects clearly, has stuff growing out of his fingers and toes to climb, organic webs and barely wisecracks.

All they should do is hint at the direction the danger is coming from and give us a tingling sound. I probably wouldn't even mind if the visually make it similar to the 90's cartoon.

The 90's series animated Spider-Man was perfect. Darken the backround and his costume, also having the intense music in the backround is a nice touch.

Agree, its probably my favorite, though I'd like something different from the movie of course! Different, but intense!;)

I like the way TAS did it, especially the sound. That heat-wave idea, about distorting the air around his head, that also sounds pretty good. I'd go with something between this, and the little lighting bolts around the head from the comics. You know when you press on your eyeball and see those flashes, and veins branching out? I'm imagining something like that, a temporary darkening or photonegative effect in the air around his head, with organic vein like paterns that pulse outwards and then fade away.

Maybe you could even have a faint image of the danger appear like a double exposed photo in the distorted area sometimes.
I never imagined the spider-sense as being able to predict the future, I thought of it as a subconscious form of extra sensory perception (based on vibration maybe?) that enables him to detect things in the space around him without the use of his other five senses. However he's only consciously aware of these observations when a signifcant danger is detected, and the shock triggers the spider-sense. So it's like an alarm system triggered by subconscious stimulus. A partially developed sense that is noticeable only when inducing an 'uneasy' feeling/vague intuition, known as the spider-sense.

I definitely don't want the slo-mo approach of the first movie. That's simply not how his spider-sense works. I'd prefer a subtle visual effect (like someone mentioned, that ripple effect, or maybe a quick dip to black and white or something,) an audio hint (I think a buzzing sound, or something like the ringing you get in your ears would work) and the rest being pure body language. It's up to the actor to sell it, IMO.

Whichever way they show it(I thought the Raimi way was fine), I just hope they are CONSISTENT! I hated in the Raimi films where his Spidey sense was at the utter convenience of the plot, thus denuding one of the single most important things that makes a character like Venom so dangerous & unique to Spidey, to just give one example.

Everything turns Black and white leaving the apposing danger in color.

Distort the backround right around the head area of Spidey; like a ripple effect. The Raimi spider -sense sucked.

That could also work too, but what if the danger is out of view? The spider-sense just warns him of incoming danger, it doesn't tell him what or where it is.

I did not like how the Raimi films did the spider-sense at all. I prefer how they did it in the MTV show.

I liked how the Spider-sense was done in the first 2 Spider-man films, I don't remember Spider-sense being in the 3rd one AT ALL.
I think as long as it is cinematic enough, like we go into Parker's head and for a brief moment his world slows down in a stylised fashion, so we can see how he is looking for the danger and alerting the audience that somewhere pretty soon ****'s about to hit the fan.
