The Amazing Spider-Man Spider sense tingeling

I like it to be just a sound like a minor alarm
The 90's series animated Spider-Man was perfect. Darken the backround and his costume, also having the intense music in the backround is a nice touch.

Agree, its probably my favorite, though I'd like something different from the movie of course! Different, but intense!;)
With all the worms and the fuzzy shapes?

I honestly have no idea what they can do without spending too much money. The first time in the first film it was shown, it was a costly effect, and then it became a sound. What are they going to do this time?

I'd like maybe a little subtle vibration around his head. It was cool in TAS as well.

I know it's been done before, but maybe have the background of the scene start to vibrate and become kinda distorted, so it has a visual cue also.

Note that I'm not advocating this for the movie, I just think it's a rad costume and it's on topic for the thread.:yay:

Sure, show half of his face like it's covered with mask
That I suppose would look neat

Weird... This is actually a lot like how I want 'em to show the Spider Sense.
Not with an actual mask but with flashing cgi over one half of his face.

Something like that. I'd prefer it if Peter didn't vibrate and when his spider sense went off, he stays still, reacting, while everything else behind him starts to vibrate and the colors start to drain out. The movement of the people and what's going on becomes slightly distorted and so do their faces. Kind of like a broken record player, but applied to image.

I would love something like that. Hope Marc Webb looks at this boards :woot:

No 'future shots' like the previous films. When the sense goes off, we should be as confused and worried as Pete is - dont show us till it happens to the character!

Whenever Peter's spider sense is shown, it should show a close up to his face in slow-mo. Or something similar to that.

I wouldn't mind seeing the glowing eyes, like in the 70s TV series, but no negative exposure shots please.

i dont like the glowing eyes idea....
i do like the vibration idea however

Probably just something simple like a sound effect and, I'm not sure of the terminology for it, but where you zoom in on the actor's face and the background changes depth.

There is an old "What If" comic about spidey that explains EXACTLY what his spider sense is.
I'm surprised none of you brought it up.

if i remember correctly, it said his response to his spider sense is involuntary, and the actual sensation (also said many times in the comics) is like a buzzing/tingling in the back of his head.

I personally think the vibration idea is a good one, especially if it's done like this.

Towards the end.

i love this idea! even though i am partial to the SM:TAS sound effects (which didn't help him one bit he ALWAYS got nailed)

OK, it won't work in the movies
Awesome for the cartoons, best animated Spider-Sense

Objection, the 90's series has the best spider sense. Best series ever.

having half the mask actually would be kind of cool

The half mask could work. Hell, do the entire face with the mask.

Slip it in in one or two frame and there you go. We've all seen Fight Club. Where Durden shows up in a frame, make that the same amount of time the mask shows up on his face or maybe a frame more.

But then again, it could cause seizures...

whatever it is, it will be in THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE DEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
