Thank you guys. I thought I was alone who don't wanna have Spidey in the Avengers. He's awesome in his own movies and comics, don't need him in the MCU.

GRangerPrimeNYC said:Interesting how anal some people here are about how much they don't want Spider-Man to be in the MCU, even with the suggestion that he doesn't have to join the Avengers or even have any contact with anyone, that isn't enough for them.
You haven't even seen the movie yet, how do you know if Garfield is going to be a good Spidey or not.
You're just like those people who said Evans would be a horrible Cap before they even saw the movie.
I honestly wouldn't mind Spider-Man having a presence in the MCU. The problem that's sticking out for me is the fact that Oscorp Tower isn't in The Avengers, and Stark Tower doesn't look like it's in the New York landscape of The Amazing Spider-Man, either.
What does the 'M' in MCU stand for?
Think about it.
Yeah, even in the comics I'm not wild about SM being part of any team, even the Avengers. There's no purpose to be served, from either a creative or business perspective, from having Spider Man enter the MCU.
Marvel
Oh, I'm all for putting Spidey into the MCU, just in case you thought I wasn't. I just think people who are against it are crazy.
You entirely missed my point. Let me be more obvious. The MARVEL cinematic Universe. Made by Marvel. The Amazing Spiderman movie? Made by SONY.
The MCU is about everything Marvel. It's about things that belong in that universe. At the moment, Spider-man is NOT one of those things. Marvel have gone to a lot of effort to build a sustainable, cinematic universe with CONTINUITY.
Sony have gone to a minimum amount of effort in order to keep making money of the Spider-Man cash cow.
The two do NOT belong together in any way, shape or form, not until Marvel regains creative control of the license.
End of story.
The only thing that really matters for casting Peter Parker is acting ability. The "look" of the character is the average joe. The actor doesn't need to be a physical embodiment of any particular Spidey artists represention.

Even that being said, from what I've seen so far I believe Garfield hits the nail square on the head regarding Parker's physique and demeanour.
Now to get back on track, if I were to hear Spidey being involved with the Avengers for a big enough threat by perhaps one of Spidey's villains capable of such a threat, I'd be stoked.
