Still don't undestand why they chose dark greyish webbing, the suit would have looked perfect without any visual cues to Raimi, that suit would look perfect with black webbing, why did they have to choose the color that was closest to Raimi? the weird thing is i don't see TWS or TFA Cap trying to look like the 1990 film? i mean the 1990 film didn't invent the Cap suit I didn't see MOS trying look like Christopher Reeve's Superman (Christopher Reeve's suit was comic accurate not including new 52) Cap and Supes were trying to different themselves from past versions, not copy it, TASM 3 needs to get away from Raimi's suit

What about the webbing? why is it gun metal grey instead of black? why does it have to be raised? why does it have the brick pattern though? i want to see a manip were the suit's webs are black.

I don't care what anybody says, this suit really was perfection. Might not be comic accurate, but it really worked for the movie and the ASM universe.

I love those boots. LOVE those boots. I am using the word "love" here to describe how I feel about those boots. It was such a cool reconceptualization of the traditional Spidey boots, so "practical" and filled with all those little extra details.

Believe it or not, jet black webbing actually looks pretty cheesy.

Things are rarely completely black or white on the movie costumes. For instance, the black frames for the eyes in ASM had a blue tint.

Edit: and the Raimi webbing wasn't gun metal, it was so silver it almost looked white in some shots. The ASM2 webbing is a dark ass gray.

Imo the ASM costume was comic accurate, just not exactly the same.

It had all the same ingredients, it was simply cooked differently with some additions and flavourings.

Just reposting the second image to illustrate what I said before to harryoscop. In the comparison between the two costumes, especially in the upper right corner, you can see how the ASM webs do not appear in comparison with the Raimi webs (and ASM2).

Exactly Cyclopswasright ^ it looked like Spiderman but in a different way, Just like Raimi he made a suit that was comic accurate, but put his own spin on things, my problem with TASM 2 suit, it burrowed elements from the Raimi suit, raised webbing wasn't needed, Giesteira i think it would have been better to use a promotional image of TASM suit, those are set photos.

That webbing wasn't nearly as thick and/or 3D as the webbing on the ASM2 suit.

While I appreciate what they did with the TASM suit because it looked like something put together from anything Peter could find I really like the new suits eyes, very iconic and an automatic win for me

But the promotional images are not which appears in the film, what is in the movie is much closer with the images in the set. Like this:

OMG! i have to admit i love that shot of TASM 2 suit! the webs look black! (hate it when they look grey) love the shape of the eyes, perfect shot right there.

Well the suit is battle damaged in that pic, i still remember when that picture was first released back in january 2011 i was so hyped!
