oh yeah the GTA Mods. hmm those guys/ makers of those mods should apply for the job cause I doubt square will look for them on their own.

Id rather they do something different and be original rather than imitate Activision's old games. The closest thing to that anyway is Marvel Heroes which is likely to be announced for consoles this year. I REALLY hope SE doesnt go in that direction
maybe if you think close minded and are dead set on the MuA formula, but there are way to create games that don't require you to have 1 character per mission. Batman never went full on co op but the ability to change characters on the fly in AK in certain areas was pretty cool and a concept that could be expanded upon. I really don't think they need to go back to a dungeon crawler format in order to make a good team based game. Been there, done that. It's time for new ideas and innovations with this IPIf I am buying an Avengers game I want to be able to control them as a team and be able to play as the characters. There are only so many ways you can do that with a game without some sort of team/party system.
The last thing I want is to buy an Avengers game where I am stuck playing as one character on every mission.

I'd much rather have rotating missions for each character than MUA model. In MUA characters didn't matter at all to the story.
Of course other Avengers should appear as npcs.
hmm so the star wars/ dcuo formula it is.I wouldn't mind controlling one character per mission with other AI controlled Avengers backing you up. If it was going to have RPG elements then those characters could fight more effectively if you had levelled them up more and chosen their strategies more appropriately.
The Mua model is fine... But like how many actual cut screens were there? That was my problem with Xml2 and the mua games. And a lot of the playable characters weren't even used in those fancy cut scenes. I think aside of giving us an option to select a team of 4 , there should be some missions where you can only use 1 to 4 specific characters and every playable character has a role in the main story.
I think a Ghost Rider game could be something really special. Do it in the style of Darksiders/DmC.

A new umbrella promotional campaign titled "Marvel Heroes Come In All Sizes" has been launched by Marvel and its sister Disney division, Disney Consumer Products & Interactive Media, reports License Global. The campaign encompasses the upcoming and current release of several comic books, movies, television shows, video games, toys, novels, and picture books.![]()
Whether you are big like Hulk, small like Ant-Man or smart and quick-to-action like Black Widow, Marvel truly has a hero for everyone, said DCPI's Senior VP of Licensing, Paul Gitter. From young kids to teenagers, to a casual fan or a diehard adult collector, 'Marvel Heroes Come in All Sizes' showcases that there is no singular definition for a hero and that our diversity is what makes us so powerful.
The "Marvel Heroes Come In All Sizes" campaign includes Marvel Comics' current Monsters Unleashed series, the home video release of Marvel Studios' Doctor Strange, The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl: Squirrel Meets World prose novel, an upcoming Baby Groot picture book, a scavenger hunt game on MarvelKids.com, the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series game, and a variety of toys, action figures, and unspecified television content.
Retailers including Walmart, Target, Toys 'R' Us, Kohl's, and Amazon will reportedly take part in the promotion with in-store signage, events, and special offers.
Really? Maybe because the game was short. I do like that they were missions that you have no choice but play what is given to you (while some of those missions, you could just skip). Plus story-wise, it is much better.XML tried that and people complained, hence the feedback to change things up in subsequent games

Tomb Raider developer Crystal Dynamics has expanded to a new and improved studio, Square Enix announced.
After months of planning, building, and some very late nights for the construction crew, weve just moved into our glorious new state-of-the-art studio! said Crystal Dynamics co-studio head Scot Amos in a press release. We have some great new amenities, from hydraulic desks for everyone to adjust as they like, to black-out shades and light absorption paint for those darkness-loving developers.
The new studio offers a fine-tuned environment, more offices and team conference rooms, and a dedicated dallies review room with the latest and greatest gear.
Weve expanded to six fully equipped sound proof audio rooms too, continued Amos. With the growth of our team, weve also increased our studio meeting area and naturally outfitted it with tons of next-gen 4K screens, as well as dedicated console and PC gaming stations next to the huge new kitchen. Lastly, weve added two specialty rooms for optimal development efficiency: a photogrammetry capture space and our very own, on-site, fully equipped Motion Capture stage!
The announcement of a newer studio comes following the reveal of The Avengers Project, which Crystal Dynamics is working on with Marvel.

If it isn't already apparent, Marvel is making a major push in the gaming industry. They already dominate the superhero film space, so why not try to see just how far that olive branch will go, right? Here's a rundown of the major Marvel games in development.
So there you have it; four different IPs are getting five games at some point in the future, with more undoubtedly on the way.
- Insomniac has been revealed to be working on a Spider-Man game exclusively for PlayStation 4.
- Guardians of the Galaxy is getting both a TellTale Series and allegedly a standalone game from the Deus Ex developers.
- Marvel vs. Capcom 4, which was revealed to be called Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite is currently in development.
- "The Avengers Project" was announced by Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics, though the exact details of which are still unknown.

With Marvel seemingly spreading its many arms in as many different directions as possible,

one might wonder what role these games will play in the grand scheme of things. In speaking with IGN, Marvel Games Creative Director Bill Rosemann seemed to indicate that any and all Marvel Games will seemingly play whatever role they want as they will not be tied down to any of the official canon.
He said:
"We want to give [developers] freedom to tell their story and we want to make it an original story.Roseman goes on to say that none of the games will be rushed, or tied into any of the movies. All of the games will be their own thing, and there will be an intensive focus on quality. "We want every game to be game of the year, he said.
We want to give our partners...freedom to look at all of Marvel history and to pick from what interests them. It's a bit like we're saying, 'Hey you're the chef, you're going to make this meal. Here's all of the ingredients. You pick the ingredients that you like and make a new meal.
We want all of our games to tell an original, all new story. We want [our development partners] to have passion, we want them to put their stamp on the games. It's their game. We want it to be their vision."

I don't want to get ahead of myself, but we might (finally) be seeing the long-awaited death of the movie tie-in game. And that's nothing but a good thing.

they said they'll explain the reason for why it look like later. but this is talk for the spider man thread in the sony area.Spiderman'scostume looks terrible!
They will still be paying attention to the Scorpio, but not as much.

While Microsoft brings the "most powerful console ever" to life with Project Scorpio and Sony ups the graphics game with the PS4 Pro, Square Enix is keeping their eyes on a different prize altogether - the Nintendo Switch.
While Square Enix will continue supporting other platforms like Scorpio and Playstation, they will be paying close attention to the Nintendo Switch. Speaking with Japan-based Nikkei (via WCCF), Square Enix CEO Yosuke Matsuda confirmed that they will be focusing more on support for the Nintendo Switch.
Beyond I am Setsuna and Dragon Quest X, Square Enix hasn't really announced too many major plans for the Nintendo Switch, but at least we know they have plans... It's a wonder whether or not the Hitman series is a part of these plans or if that Avengers game is coming.
