Mystery/Thriller Squid Game

I’m not sure about this. The first season was amazing but having the main character go back into the game (and play at least some of the same games) feels a bit like too much of the same. But hopefully I’m wrong.

I mean, I don’t blame him. But… that’s not exactly selling me on this, lol.

just saw it. so looks like the cop survived after all. here's my prediction.

the frontman saved the cop himself, since it's his brother. there will be a scene where he says something like "look, if you were not my brother, I would have left you for dead. so this is your one and final warning. do not come back, and do not get in my way."

Finished the first two episodes, it's an interesting setup episode that might lose some people because they aren't diving head first back into the games.

Also Korean's interpretation of Mardi Gras is so fascinating to me. lol

A 7 episodes run is so short for this. The season finale felt like a middle episode of the season or a winter finale, rather an actual season finale. There's one particular character who was so visible in the first two episodes of the season that didn't really appear in the finale. There were obviously saving the other story arcs for the final season.

That being said, this was fun. I liked the new cast members. It helped that I am familiar with some of them from GI Joe movies, Concrete Utopia, The Glory, Bulgasal, Izone the girl group, Queen of Tears, Little Women, Sweet Home, Devil Judge and Midnight Romance. My favorite though was the older lady whom I don't think I've seen before.

That scene when two guys carried her son and she was left for a second was like the most gut wrenching scene of the series. It gave me the feels especially when they reunited.

I'm guessing they would continue the game with whoever's left there and the island being found by the guy from Little Women/Midnight Romance. The second season only had 3 games.

This did not need 3 seasons. With how it ends, it feels like there are 3, maybe 4 episodes worth of content left. I dont know why Netflix didnt just label this as Season 2A and have 2B next year. I hope they dont unnecessarily stretch it out

It felt like they had a 10 episode season and decided to split it and just used this episode bc it was a highpoint of action. I see it concluding in 3 episodes and an epilogue episode. Im almost certain season 3 will be shorter than 7

I think the creator just needed more time for the other episodes, hence why we are getting this "third season". It definitely feels like a "part two" of the final season rather an actual third season.

Though I like that we are getting more time with this show/cast, as I marathoned the entire second season in 1 sitting which of course disturbed my sleeping pattern.

I'm now rewatching the first season and completely forgot a lot of things that happened when it first aired.
