Superman Returns SR wins 2 Total Film Readers awards!

It´s funny how some haters treat SR like it´s some obvious Batman & Robin or Elektra kinda bomb, and in fact the movie has a lot of positive reviews and feedback.

Exactly, you hit the nail on the head there UF, if SR was such a bad movie, it wouldnt even be nominated for these awards let alone win them.

Well try to understand them : it' clear that this positive feedback from respected critics and papers or even som of us is just Politeness (or nostalgia or even better a lot are paid by Warner ! t: )

It is great to know that SR has won these awards. I have seen the movie several times now and while it is probably not an ideal Superman movie it is nonetheless a pretty good movie and definitely deserves the recognition it has recieved through these awards. There has been too much of unwarranted criticism hurled at SR which in my humble opinion is unjustified and specially when you consider that movies like X3 and POTC2 have been praised by detractors.

It got Best 2006 Movie and Brandon got Best Breakout Star (by a landslide on the 2nd one by the sounds of it). Its totally deserving of these awards IMO and just goes to show that the GA liked SR after all as these awards were voted for by the readers. Well done Bryan and Brandon!

SR was the biggest dissapointment ever because every critic said so. except loenard maltin who has absolutely no experience reviewing movies. the internet said so.

the only reason SR was so popular in england was because the majority of the population is WB execs.

total film is also published by bryan singer who is the worst director ever. he ruin the x-men movies with x-men 3.

Its not a desperate attempt at all, Total Film is one of the most popular movie magazine's out there, especially here in the U.K and hundreds of thousands of people voted on this. Not to mention that SR has won plenty of other awards!

Just thought i'd resurrect this thread, its funny, with so many people claiming that SR didnt resonate with the fanbase, that it managed to win the Best Movie of 2006 award, an award that was voted for by movie-goers as well.

This just goes to show the movie resonated more than people want to admit.
