Whoop-di-do it's still a giant turd of a movie.
All you need to know about the Saturn Awards is revealved on the Smallville Commentary for Heat in Season 2. The director of the epsiode asks Tom Welling what it's like to work with Michael Rosebaun.
Welling : " It's easy to raise your game when you're working with a Saturn Award winning actor"
[Everybody laughs]
Rosenbaun : "Who told you about that? I didn't even know those awards existed until they told me I won."
Hah!!! After the first two and a half hours, I started to say, "Sink. The. Damn. Boat. Already!!!" LOL...Titanic won like 19 billon Oscars but that doesn't change the fact that I envied those who were drowning when I saw because their misery ended before mine.

The worse thing about Titanic is that in took Leo so long to get his credablity back after Leo-mania
SR made around 400 million, the fans hardly stayed away.
Whoop-di-do it's still a giant turd of a movie.
Actually the movie brought in $391,081,192 WORLD WIDE!
Yes my friend with the movie's major budget all I can say is that man that's a flop... The WB were expecting those kind of numbers from SR domestically not world wide.
They expected SR to make a good $300-$400million domestic, and a good $700-$800 million world wide.... Or close to what Spiderman 3 has done.
What we got was a movie that let just about EVERYONE down!
So explain again, how does the budget affect the fans? Here's the thing you can use those figures to explain why the movie may have been a miss to Warner Brothers and the Exceutive producers but $391 million makes it a hit with the fans.
SR had a budget close to 300million after you add marketing, and such... Meaning for the WB to turn a single dollar profit the movie would have had to make a good 550-600million world wide, and or with the help of dvd.
This movie did not do that... The movie failed to meet all expectations, and even the opening week was weak.
The buzz was terrible before it hit, and the word of mouth proved deadly for the movie... A movie that had to be kept in IMAX, and theaters for almost an entire year so it could reach the 200million domestic number.
They kept it in theaters so the movie could cross 200million which the studio said would be the only way a sequel would be even a thought in their minds.
The movie made it after a VERY long time... The movie was expected to be a movie with the boxoffice of a Spiderman, Shrek, or Pirates.
The movie also had little competition last year, and it still managed to fail to capture the peoples attention.
To this day the movie has yet turn a profit... And while for other movies 391million world wide might be an amazing amount of money! For a movie expected to do twice that well that's a flop... Even the heads of the WB said that the movie under performed which is a nice polite way of saying "The movie flopped!"
No matter how you slice the pie it's still rotten inside...
This is the funniest crap I have read in a while. An actual Saturn award winner tells you how important winning that thing is. And we got an entire thread almost spooging over it.All you need to know about the Saturn Awards is revealved on the Smallville Commentary for Heat in Season 2. It just means that many people saw it, but in terms of the movie going audience, not so much. Considering that ticket sales here are $10.00 a ticket, that ain't much. Superman The Movie made more than it with less theaters, and a way lower ticket sales. Adjusting for today's tickets, Superman the movie made Spiderman 3 numbers. There is a post I show with a link to a site that does ticket adjustments from ticket prices of yesteryear to today.Again, explain how any of that effects what the fans think. If a film makes £391 million then it has a large fan base, the budget doesn't come into it when you talk about fans.
And I bloded the most laughable thing in the enitre, most directors laugh themselves silly when they hear such a thing.

I don't know, how many did it win?
None.
Kate Bosworth was "nominated" for Worst Supporting Actress (actually, that was SR's ONLY nod), but Carmen Electra took home the dishonor.![]()
The real question is, how many Razzies can it win?
