or maybe he doesnt feel right releasing a movie on Blu ray that is exactly the movie you already own
I don't think he added to the films, this time, out of moral obligations.

I can not wait until he releases Star Wars with CGI Luke and Vader fights.
(you know it will happen)

;)
I'd watch those fights. The lightsaber duels in the original films are not particularly awesome.

GL adding to the Blu rays wasnt monetary...I was at Celebration 5 when he announced the blu rays and everyone went crazy....even if it was the original versions they were gonna sell

Are you asserting that everyone who cheered at Celebration 5 (being die-hards) assumed he would be releasing the original films on blu-ray?

I don't think that is accurate. Then again, I wasn't there.

I assume nothing. We all know these blu rays were gonna be a big deal. Had he not added anything to them they would still sell

Of course if he released the original films on a new format it would sell. That was never being argued.

Anyone talking about the new Star Wars comic book coming out? It looks pretty amazing. :wow:

Witwer is confirmed as the voice of Darth Maul
Look who's gone from Being Human to being Darth Maul

A few days ago, we brought you the awesome news that Star Wars fan favorite Darth Maul was being brought back from the ''dead'' for Star Wars: The Clone Wars. If that wasn't cool enough, we just learned who's been tapped to voice the legendary Sith lord.

Being Human's Sam Witwer.

Yep, you heard right. Funny thing is, Witwer is truly no stranger to the Star Wars Universe—and to using the Force—at all.

The news comes from Nuke the Fridge, which reports:

Witwer is an experienced actor who has appeared in such television shows as C.S.I., Dexter, Being Human, Dark Angel, JAG, Battlestar Galactica, and Smallville. He is no stranger to the Star Wars Universe either. Witwer has done extensive voice work on Star Wars The Force Unleashed 1 & 2, and the Ultimate Sith Edition video games, and he has also voiced the part of 'The Son' on Star Wars: The Clone Wars animated series.

Those who've played Force Unleashed will know that Witwer was one of the best things about those two games (especially the first one). The actor managed to create in Starkiller—Darth Vader's secret apprentice—a great character who fans learned to love and root for.

What do you think of this casting news? Do you think Sam Witwer has the chops to bring the perfect mix of menace and coolness to Darth Maul?
I approve. Always great having Witwer pop up.

Sam Witwer is the man. I'm glad he's voicing Maul. I think he'll do a great job. He seems like a cool dude too.

I'd love to see a live action Starkiller movie/show. Shoot, maybe if they make another FU game make a live action trailer with him in it (like they did with Metroid) How awesome would that be?

Dammit, the limited edition has already sold out unless I want to pay £240 for it. :(

Anyone watch the Scream Awards on Spike. They have a cool Darth Vader montage and when George Lucas gets on the mic and says we'll be seeing Vader again in 3D February.

That looks stunning, when is it due out? and was that Aurra Sing watching the Podrace? :wow:

In the description on the youtube video, it says "Available now where books are sold" :awesome: I guess I'm gonna have to go to BAM and see if they have it.

I'm trying to decide on a Vader, but the first one has a strange pimp chain holding his cape up.

Good luck getting the limited edition.

I have the 1st Vader. The lightsaber has to be there which is why I like it over #2 and the pose I think is more striking than #3.

Vader is not a pimp !!!
Anyway, he always wore a chain ( at least in EP 4-5-6 ) but the one in the 1 statue is particulary visible.

AFAIC, I like #1 and #2 stance the most. #3 is ok, #4 I don't like at all.

and was that Aurra Sing watching the Podrace? :wow:
Yes, that's her.

I like that you put quotations around artist. Makes sense. Dude's a business man. .
Personally, I see the term Artist as title one earns and maintains. In my opinion, Lucas has let that title slip from his grasp in recent years, however that could be intentional.
