Star Wars - Part 6

There are plenty of good choices you can make before it ends, yeah.

lol kinda hot.

You know which character I think is hawt and she's from the video game Knights of the Old Republic. Bastila and I think Kate Beckinsale should play her if they ever make the video came into a live action film. Though I doubt it. Kate can be anything... Mirax Booster is a possibility.

IIRC, I think i read somewhere Bastila was modeled after Kate...

...If they ever do the live-action show...or when Clone Wars ends...I want something in set in/around KOTOR...

I just saw the new episode of TCW.

Damn, Krell is an uber-*****e!

It's like he's trying to get the Clones killed, I'm not a big fan of this world they are battling on either. Nice nod to Han Solo this week though. :woot:

Oh really? I never knew that... wow. :hrt:

I'm curious about the Jedi Quinlan Voss, any suggestions on what comics to read? Also I just watched the whole of Season 3 and plan to catch up on Season 4 soon as I have them recorded. Is Savage slated to come back this season?

A) The story arc in which Vos briefly serves under Dooku.

B) The story arc in which he and Aayla Secura take Saleucami

C) The story arc in which Quinlan survives Order 66 and raises his child with Khaleen Hentz.

Yeah, loved that! :awesome: and i couldnt stop laughing at the "crazed" clone flying the enemy ship they stole :hehe:

Very cool episode. Krell is really pushing it though, i wouldnt discard the clones dealing with him at the end. Sure looks like Rex is getting pushed to the edge.

Hush: yeah, Savage is supposed to return this spring. As far as Vos goes, listen to OptimusPrime :cwink:

Cool pic. Sith?

One of Darth Krayt's Sith soldiers from Legacy War.

Mandalore is right, I think it's a better design than the Sith trooper of the Old Republic and they would be a good idea as part of a Sith army if they made a post-ROTJ trilogy.

The show is great at getting the little nods in as well as the big homages. :D

I think there may be a Rex vs Krell showdown that is stopped by a returning Anakin who then sides with Rex's POV over his fellow Jedi.

Well considering the next episode, looks like there's some insubordination coming up http://www.starwars.com/explore/the-clone-wars/ep409/#!/about

"The ignorant man follows, the wise man leads."

After the Republic conquers an Umbaran airbase, General Krell orders Rex and his men on towards the heavily fortified capital. Realizing there's a better plan, several clone troopers disobey orders to carry out a rogue, covert operation.

Sounds great, I love how this arc is actually about the growth of Rex.

Hey, which Clone Wars show do you guys prefer, the current one or the 2003 Tartakovsky version?

I find the '03 show to be far more stylized and calculated, with every moment meticulously structured. The new show is a bit more "by the books," but is far more massive in scope. As much as I love the unique energy of the '03 show, I find myself enjoying the current Clone Wars more. It feels more...fun, in a way.

Plus the voice of Anakin sounds less like Hayden Christensen, which is a plus.

Other opinions?

This series is pretty entertaining, and we're not always being reminded how Anakin's going to become Darth Vader--seeing Anakin and Obi Wan fight side by side is that friendship ANH spoke of but the PT really only ever hinted at. But there's something really disconcerting about how the Jedi seem completely oblivious to the fact that they're essentially breeding slaves to fight a massive interstellar war, and the fact that they flesh out the clones as individuals highlights this. On a more technical level, the movements of the CGI puppets make some of the battle scenes (especially the lightsaber battles) stiff, and not nearly as exciting as one of the 2003 series. That and I prefer Tartakovsky's style to the new series.

But the new series definitely has some good points, and won me over from the opinion of "just another cash-in on Star Wars." Fun show.

I didn't like the look of the characters or the animation style of the 2003 toon. I love the current one though, it's done a great job fleshing out a big piece of the mythos and creating some great stand alone stories, while adding cool new characters like Rex, Cad Bane, Pre Vizsla, Savage Oppress and the Nightsisters as well as showcasing various Jedi only seen in the background in the films.

As much as i enjoyed the 2003 CW when it aired, i'm gonna have to say i like the current CW more. Episodes are obviously longer, which allows for character and story development and the style of animation has grown on me.

Compi716: i have to disagree with you regarding the voice of Anakin in the show. I think it sounds a lot like Hayden, and i must say i'm actually impressed with how much they make the characters sound like the actors portraying them in the movie.

I prefer the 03 version. The animation is just beautiful and better written imo. It's short but put them all together and its like a mini movie so I don't mind. The new show is alright but I really dislike the marionette style they are going for. I appreciate what they are trying to do but it looks awful imo.

The the 2003 Tartakovsky version felt alot more like something you would have played using your star wars figures as a kid. That's why I liked it better.

Has anyone read Star Wars: Union?

I have a copy of it .

I pretty much agree with you, I like both but 2003 in my favorite.

I just noticed that Gentle Giant have a number of OT movie statues and clone Wars maquettes but the only PT character to get a movie stature is Darth Maul, which is a shame as I'd have loved a Jango Fett, Obi Wan, Anakin, Mace and Grievous from their statue range.
