Starz Black Sails

Silver achieved brotherhood! James McGraw achieved full Flint!

Spectacular finale, loved seeing Vane and Flint buddy-cop their way through Charlestown. Now that Rackham has the gold I'm excited to see what the state of Nassau will be in by the time Flint and co. return.

Would it be too much to ask if Eleanor is tortured for an entire season? Can't stand her character.

I like Eleanor, I certainly admire her will power. I do think she's made some shoddy decisions. Her goals were ultimately noble, but she made too many enemies and not enough allies in the pursuit of them. Or had allies, and just betray them in the hope of securing more powerful ones -only to have it blow up in her face.

Wow, that whole Charleston scene was brutal, from the crowd hurling garbage at Miranda's corpse to the city's destruction. What with all the splinters and debris flying around, it looked dangerous for the actors. Anyway, it was good to see Vane and Flint bury the hatchet. I want to see more of what pirates are capable of when they're not infighting.

It'll be interesting seeing Silver without his leg next season. We've taken a major step towards the world of Treasure Island, now where's Pew? He was the scariest pirate in the book, IMO.

Good seeing Jack and Anne back together. I loved her smirk when Jack was describing how they got the gold. Anyone else disappointed that we didn't see them fight the Spanish on the beach? Doesn't make a lot of sense to describe a needless battle.

What's the best onscreen adaptation of Treasure Island by the way? The one with Christian Bale or Orson Welles?

Rupert Penry-Jones who played Lord Thomas Hamilton played Squire John Trelawney in the Sky Treasure Island adaptation from three years.

They already showed black beard in the pilot ep though… :awesome:

Not the real Blackbeard.

The one with Christian Bale and Charlton Heston.

If Ray Stevenson is in this, I may be sold. Titus Pullo is one of TV's best characters. 13th!!!

The show is already great without him, you should come aboard now Arrrr !

Just finished the first two seasons. This is a very entertaining show.

Renewed

A Starz show making it to season four?! I never thought I'd see the day.

Spartacus was technically 4 seasons. But Black Sails is officially the first. I can see Power and Outlander making it past 4 too.

This is good news! I assumed it had already been green lit for season 4, but seeing an official statement is excellent!

Knowing Starz it won't get a fifth season. They have zero loyalty to their shows and will kill em if it suits them.

I don't care how many seasons it gets as long as it maintains its quality and finishes its story.

I thought it had already been renewed and I did not know they had the Cartoon Network mentality of cancelling a show after a preset number of seasons regardless of the ratings, quality and general popularity.

Nice to see it's going to make it at least one more season. Hopefully they don't do some stupid cliffhanger ******** though and get cancelled.
