I didn't read the transition from villain to hero but I suspect from comments it was done poorly.

It was done well. That's just hate over the whole stealing Scott thing clouding their judgement. She was broken after her Hellions got wiped out. The X-Men gave her purpose.

I've grow bored of Emma. I have no interest in this possible affair with Namor, he has no business being in the book to begin with. He's an Avenger in my mind, not an X-Man. Put him back where he belongs. But back to Emma, I don't mind her as a "good guy", she's just been dancing to the same tune for a while now. She's been haunted by Jean's ghost and now has Hope to deal with. She was much better as a teacher in Genosha or in Generation X.
