thors-day-300x232.jpg

well today is anyway!...... if you get a DAY named after you.. you are a extremely bad "shut yo mouth ",but i am talking about Thor!

Actually, the day you are talking about was Wednesday...Wodin'sday, named after Odin, thor's boss.

and Thor, eh, he really ain't all that as it turns out, I imagine if I were on an internet discussion forum, and he went toe to toe with me, I'd put him right and beat him in every debate we had.

haha

I cannot wait to get to the end of this, oh it is gonna be sweet.

That said, I think Thor REALLY doesn't need a human persona. I think he should be Thor 24/7.
I agree only insofar as no one's done anything interesting with his human persona in just shy of for-goddamn-ever. It's just this weird thing Thor has, like some vestigial leftover from the Silver Age, where secret identities were a given. If someone actually showed Don Blake (or Jake Olson or Sigurd Jarlson or whoever because, let's face it, other than Eric Masterson, who was a real person in his own right, all of Thor's human personas are interchangeable) being as much of a fully fleshed out character as Thor, I would jump for joy. I got really excited when JMS presented Blake as another side of Thor's mind and had him doing cool s*** like joining Doctors Without Borders, but then he just forgot Blake even existed, like so many writers before him. Damn shame.

I like Thor, but I wish they sorted out the Donald Blake thing, or at least did something interesting with him.

Eh, i have not many thor solo comics, but I did buy the short lived Thor Uk weekly back in the early 80s, (they printed a random selection of Lee/Kirby and Lee/Buscema), and i recall in one story , i think it was the one where he goes up against Doctor Doom promising to give him plastic surgery, but is only bsing him, cruel Blake/Thor! haha, and throughout the story Odin's face appears in the sky demanding that Thor get his ass guard back to Asgard for an off-world mission he has for him, he sure seemed like his boss there.

Thor's one of my fav characters. Can't say enough good things about the guy

Well i got alot of Thor solo issues since when a camera crew came to Asgard and (excuse me cause i am old since the days of hot pants and smiley faces 70's) I forget the ins and outs like you guys but Red the cameraman put on his belt and became Thor.( hey it was the 70's stuff like that happened!) which was all a elaborate plan to cause Ragnarok to happen of Odin's. which summarily pissed homebody off. One of the the best traits that i like about Thor is that he is his own man. Many times has he defied his father. which in alot of ways his dad wants him to do.... see just like soldiers who blindly follow orders. Odin wants him to be capable of making his own decisions for the greater good. I have always loved that about him!! He loves his dad extremely, but will tell him to shove it if Midgard is threaten in a instance! YEAH BABY! and from most text i have read Thursday was named after Thor... now if Wednesday was really Thursday but instead of Monday past Tuesday wells, history is always being rewitten ( sometimes we remember it one way sometimes another)... well who knows! but i always past that question on my history test thanks to The MIGHTY THOR!!( which is the reason i loooove marvel and Stan, that dude helped me past High school without me knowing it) BUMMY!... and you cant come into Walmart with backpacks... but that might have been rewritten since the last i went! hehe

Juggs is awesome. He was awesome as an X-Man, awesome in New Excalibur, most awesome as a Thunderbolt, and is still pretty awesome as a member of "The Worthy" in FI.

So far Jug has been the best of the Worthy. Props to Parker and Gillen for making it work.

I'm a fan. I liked how he was written in the Thunderbolts, and for years he was a fun villain to me for the X-Men. A guy who just runs through whatever gives him problems? Yeah I can dig it.

I prefer him as a hero/anti-hero. When he's a villain all he does is get his ass handed to him.

another one of my favs. Love everything about him, one of the coolest looking characters also. I said it about Iron Fist and I'll say it about Juggernaut, if he is in a comic I buy it. Though I do hate how they depowered him, repowered and depowered him. I prefer my Juggernaut at full power.

I'm not really too big on Juggernaut. Just kind of know of him through other comics, video games, and the X-Men movie. I remember that side scrolling X-Men arcade game, which is still awesome to this day, and Juggernaut just kept screaming, "Nothing can stop the Juggernaut". Ugh...annoying but it was awesome when you took his ass down.

Plus..you can't forget the Spider-Man story that Roger Stern did with Juggernaut...other than that the character is kind of "Meh" to me.

Maaaan f**k Spider-Man. :o

have to agree with this, as much I like the idea behind that story the ending bothers me greatly. Like when Juggs got out of the cement why didn't he just come right back after Spidey and squash him?

Juggs is great. Whether as an out and out villain or as a villain seeking redemption. Really liked what Parker was doing with him in T-Bolts. New Excalibur was awesome too. And I thought he was cool in Identity Disc as well.

The Juggernaut is awesome. I like him best when he's morally ambiguous. Not a one-dimensional wrecking machine or a soft-hearted wussy trying to be a hero, but somewhere in-between. A villain with a code of ethics, basically.

I'd rather he be more like Captain Cold.

A professional Bad guy with his own code of honor.

So does Cold, but he gets by with a little help from his friends.
