Give him his pants Luthor

Solomon Grundy want pants too

Despite his lack of proper pants I dig Grundy. I like how he never comes back the same way. So sometimes he's a mindless brute, sometimes he's a gentle and kind person, sometimes he's a sadistic monster and once he was an evil genius

It's a neat gimmick

Born on Monday
wanted pants on Tuesday!
SG Rocks and that whole origin of him use to scare the &^%$ outta me when i was younger( they let people get away with all sort stuff back then writing comics!) stupid as a brick, but SG Hella ROCKS cause "BATMAN AND ROBIN HAVE UTILITY BELT! SOLOMON GRUNDY WANT ONE TOO!!

I never really cared for grundy until I fought him in arkham city. That was loads of fun.

I like Grundy, and if I understand right he has always come back with various levels of strength over the years after dying and coming back. Unless that was something newly added with that OYL JLA arc where Grundy was stronger and smarter.

Anyone here able to clarify that for me?

Grundy is a great character. He's creepy, he's menacing, and he's also very pittiable. Great to use when you want a dark, macabre storyline.

Yep I didn't dig the whole story where he gets knee capped and decides to become Kid Flash to show he's fo' serious now

Same. Especially because, barely a year and a half earlier, Peter David wrote the exact same character arc for him, giving him a near death experience and having him become more aware of the danger in his life and his responsibilities, even having a short storyline where he quit being a super hero just to figure his **** out, resulting in him being more focused and responsible while relearning how to be a fun, happy person, and that arc was handled with much more nuance and genuine human emotion than the kneecapping. So not only was that badly handled, it was also redundant.

As far as I know it's always been. As far back as Robinson's Starman run at least.

Also my favorite version of Grundy.

Yep pretty much

Badly handled and redundant describes a lot of what was done to the characters from Young Justice once their series ended :csad:

Nope that has been a part of his character for a long while before OYL

That's good. Because Grundy gets bested by Bats a bit "too easily" in The Long Halloween given he gives people like Supes trouble in other stories. Just means it was one of his weaker revivals.

Yep Grundy was obviously not as strong at the time as he usually is

He's usually smarter than he is in Long Halloween too. Not often a genius but smarter than the mindless brute he is there

Did they ever explain how Grundy ended up in the Arrow-Cave in Green Arrow "The Archer's Quest"? That always seemed random as ****. It was rather cool though when Ollie choked the **** out of him.
Also, what was his involvment with Blackest Night? I know they have him a mini-series before it, but I never saw anything after that.

I don't think he needs proper pants. They might end up being itchy like Homer Simpson's pants that one time.

Nope that what the what moment where he turned up in the Arrow Cave never did get explained

I don't think he ever appeared in Blackest Night either though I could be wrong. But I don't remember poor Grundy getting any panel time

I love Grundy, and I LOVED the Scott Kollins mini right before blackest night, and I want him Scott Kollins to do a Grundy/Bizarro series

Give him manniquans to play with, and he's happy

Right, he got a Black Ring, and then what?

And did Black Rings do anything besides ressurection? I don't recall any black constructs in that entire series. I don't think Johns quite understood (understands) what makes a power ring interesting.
