Haha that sounds awesome. They could start doing that at the beginning of an X-film with both of them narrrating life lessons throughout the intro and the scene continuing as a backdrop through the entire film. Then after the credits they deliver their conclusions and we see who won the Motocross and the one who loses dies (until the opening credits of the next film).

Now I want to script an (actually funny) superhero parody with a scene like that but with a scene cut just before the finish line to some people outside talking and one of the racers going flying straight out a window in the background.

First class was alright but i'm still waiting for the X-Men I grew up reading back in the early 80's even something closer to silver age. I just dont feel i've gotten that yet.

You want hair metal Rogue, mohawk Storm and fluffy clothes Psylocke to show up? :p

I liked FIRST CLASS, and there are some really good things in it. But... I also think it's kind of overrated and some of the character relationships and other things kind of rub me wrong. Though it's a solid CBM and entertaining with some really nice sequences.

This must be done. Do it!

We've had loads of good stuff since the 1st X-film in 2000 but we're still a long way away from the potential of what many of us were reading growing up. For that to happen they will have to give as much love to the other core characters as they do to Wolverine.

i totally agree! though DOFP was as close to anything i ever read in Xmen growing up. theres is still something missing from all these flicks like some of the soul! i tell you what though.. the DAY i get a real" HEAR ME NOW XMEN!! NOW AND FOREVER MORE, I AM PHOENIX!" coming out the water with that green and yellow outfit on "real" phoenix saga! i think i can die a happy man!

I was never quite that big on when she became an actress/model and when she "died" but other than that... Love that spunky red head. I think it was Gerry Conway who said that Stan Lee had Gwen in his mind as the ideal match for Peter, but that's only because she was a mirror of his own wife, but Peter wasn't a mirror of Stan in the least. Peter was a traumatized and damaged young person. He wasn't going to end up with the perfect girl. MJ has the father issues, the scrappy up bringing, the twisting on the inside because of the secrets she keeps... Yeah, she's the match that Peter needs. She's of course beautiful but lets be honest, as I see it, Gwen is indeed that idealized girl next door. MJ is that crazy hot party chick you knew in High School. Her appeal is more sensuous than Gwen, and seeing as how Peter was over 18 when he met her it makes sense that she would be that way. Granted, like too many Marvel females she's LOOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNGGGGG suffering because of her love interest's superhero life and personality. Still, they are a great team and she knows why Peter does what he does and how it is so important to him. I think this is because as a younger character MJ was one of those, "let's drain life dry and live it to the fullest" types. It's only after the relationship with Peter deepens that I think that she realizes that she couldn't always be like that, and that's when the real worry about Peter coming home at night alive started in earnest. Still, she and he are a great duo and I think when a writer is on all cylinders they feel like an actual young couple trying to sort out everyday life in the Marvel U.

I loved First Class.

I had an enormous crush on MJ growing up. Still like her, though not to the previous extent. In the little bit of JMS's run of ASM I read, I thought he wrote Peter and MJ's relationship very well.

MJ is awesome. She and Peter should still be married. Nuff said.

^Exactly, that's why I posted that picture above.

I always felt bad for MJ, having to date Peter for so long. The guy can never hold down a steady job, so maintaining a relationship was never on the table. I'm glad she's w/ that firefighter dude now.

I like her, but was opposed to her marriage to Peter, however not a fan of how they broke up neither. Also, it amazing how they stayed married for so long.

Brings back bad memories of One More Day. Hopefully that firefighter doesn't have an elderly aunt he refuses to let die...

Dig MJ!Gwen will always have a special place in my heart cause of what the Goblin did! That &*( was wrong, but MJ's a piping hot red head full of FUN! whats not to like!!!

Eh. She's the most interesting of Spidey's love interests, but Spider-Man is still dead to me, so eh.

I dunno my best love intrest for Spidey was Black Cat! I get tried of all these normal chicks getting Kidnapped by the Jackal and ^&* waiting to be rescued . i dug chick would claw their eyes out.. plus that "keep your spiderman mask on stuff... was kinda kinky-cool!! Hahaha!:cwink: its always the bad ones who are the most fun!
Superheroes should date each other

Superheroes dating each other is what lead to Civil War.

HA! i thought it was a bunch of punk kids who got their butts handed to them by gray haired old ass Nitro!:woot:
... but i could see messing around with my babe Ms Marvel would make me go Civil war on you!( that chick is hot! for a comic book character that is)
Freakin iron man wouldn't care whose chick she is!:cwink:

Superheroes should date each other

First thing I'm doing if I ever got superpowers is breaking up w/ my g/f and putting my family in storage. I want nobody around for my enemies to tie to some traintracks as bait or to stuff in a fridge like Major Victory did to Kyle.

Despite Marvel's every attempt to vilify her, I still think MJ is awesome.
