He was being sarcastic cuz that's how he is now.

Not so much since Dan Slott fully took over. He finally turned him into what he should be at this point, a successful scientist/inventor. His only downfall is when someone outsmarts him like Ock did in Superior.

ANG LEE'S HULK

I don't care what anyone says. I liked it! A bit too much "Banner had a rough childhood" and more "HULK SMASH" like the 'sequel' did and it would have been much better. Still a really enjoyable movie.

Shatterstar - Never really liked him before X-Factor. Loved him and everyone else in X-Factor. Great book. Too bad it's over. :(

I wish Ang's Hulk never existed.
Had it not I'd like to think the MCU version would have Connelly and Elliott, would have started off with Ruffalo and would have delivered a balance of smash and psychology.

I liked it. Yeah it had glaring flaws and the efforts on the Hulk in film since have been excellent but this movie entertained me. I still watch it whenever it's on TV.

Still the better Hulk movie, and I have a special place in my heart reserved for the onscreen comic panels.

Underrated. That Hulk seemed more believable to me over the Incredible version. The Absorbing dad bit, I could do without though.

Horrible movie. Just absolutely horrible. And to make matters worse it tainted the Incredible Hulk movie because they didn't want to (properly) re-do his origins because people generally don't like origin tales anymore.
Hulk dogs? Really? And some weird dad-becomes-hydro man type nonsense? Those are the best villains they could come up with?
Just awful awful awful.

I'm glad we didn't get a full origin from The Incredible Hulk. It just wasn't really needed.

What's wrong with the Hulk dogs? Half of the villains the Hulk faces are gamma-monsters anyway?

I found the Hulk dogs weird (A poodle? Really?) but considering his previous enemies in the comics it's not that weird, just a bit jarring to see on screen.

I thought it was boring as hell....but it wasn't particularly a "bad" movie....If that makes any kind of sense.

Like I said, it can use a lot less backstory into Banners childhood and more smashy.

Can see Ang Lee gave it a commendable effort but not quite what the world needed from a Hulk film at that time.

I still found the Absorbing Dad idea decent but Nick Nolte went bananas by the end of it. His tantrum when mocking Bruce and just biting into the power cord was hilarious. Totally messed up the scene for me.

More or less how I feel too. The comic panel thing was something I actually liked and there's some great visual stuff, but there really was a fundamental miscalculation that the story and plot were at all what fans or the GA would want from a film titled HULK. You got to have that hunted on the run stuff with Banner, mixed with the Godzilla meets WWE stuff with the Hulk. I hope we get a solo film or some kind of project with the Ruffalo version sooner than later. A Hulk film with The Leader and the U-Foes could take the character to new heights on screen. Failing that, give me something that is a cross between Cross Roads and Planet Hulk.

I like the movie, but characters speak in a low tone almost all the time.
HULK, a movie full of whispers.

You know what they say, talk softly and carry a big stick.

Hulk... A movie full of whispers.

That's fortune cookie stuff right there.

I didn't care if she lived or died before she became a hot Asian chick, and didn't care if she lived or died after she became a hot Asian chick, and I don't care now if she lives or dies. Frankly, one of Claremont's rare missteps. The character is only remembered because sex sells, period. There's no there, THERE. Many major and minor comic characters have insanely convoluted back stories... But if you are a fan do me a favor and try to explain Betsy's story to someone unfamiliar with the X-Men mythos and try not to sound like you are making it up on the spot to try and mess with them. She's to me another in a LONG line of unnecessary additions to X-Men comics that took the spotlight from much richer and deeper characters for too long.

Sadly, that's all I think about looking at her.
Emma Frost is an expert in walking in her lingerie, but I like her character.
Captain Britain's sister... nothing.
