Unfortunately, that's pretty much how it ended. You see Blizzard on Attilan, the others on a tropical island they bought with the money, and then comes the last panel and..... Blizzard is in an observational SHIELD facility. The supervising agents make some comment that he's being shown "What he most wants to see" and that Stark is busy hunting down the other thieves. Sorry.

Anyway...... Count Nefaria is cool. A great classic villain.

that dude beat up the Xmen, threw all the Avengers around like dolls! and i mean the big ones like Thor,IM, Cap and Wonderman! the only way they could stop him was for Vision to fly up in the stratosphere, tuned to rock hard diamond and drop straight down on his peanut head!!.. and still that just stunned him !that DUDE IS COOL! plus he had that high collar 70's costume!! and that is always tres fashion chic!!

Nefaria... There is a gold mine there but few do anything at all with him. We got how many Superman analogs running around Marvel and frankly, there's only two I give a rodent's buttocks about. Gladiator, and the Count (sorry Hyperion).

Okay, it's fan fiction time...

Given the obvious inspiration for Nefaria's powers I've always wanted to see him form his own Masters of Evil to go up against all that would oppose him only to clash with ANOTHER team of Masters in what I would call WAR OF THE MASTERS, with The Avengers caught in the crossfire. Nefaria's team would be a total JLA ripoff, going against a team led by Red Skull, Madame Masque (his daughter) and Loki (with Zemo in the background doing what Zemo does best). The teams would shake out like this:

The final confrontation leaves both sides with casualties (no, seriously... Red Skull, Juggernaut and a few others are dead) and complicates the Marvel U. (Loki, Ares, Enchantress, Dracula and Selene ascend to become a new unholy pantheon of evil, while Titania switches sides and becomes an Avenger,,Quicksilver finally goes home to daddy and joins a Magneto led Brotherhood ect.) but it leaves Zemo in charge of a new Masters team, and they are more like a truly organized crime outfit of super villains, staking out various franchises of which they are the top dogs (for example, Super Skrull is THE top alien on the planet. You want to do business on Earth and you are an alien, you gotta deal with him... Or he'll crush you. Tiger Shark rules high seas piracy, and so on). Zemo gets into a romance with Madame Masque (who joined initially out of fear of her father) and Zemo gets a truly badass team for his further plans that would be:

Nefaria would be depowered for a bit and assumed dead, but of course he has to survive to be a part of the down fall of Zemo and his daughter. Anyways, getting back on topic.... Nefaria is too big of a threat on paper to not do something of significance with, and it's been a while since Busiek did just that. C'mon Marvel... mine the continuity, don't dismiss it.

I've no opinion on Luna. Right around when she started to develop a personality I got out of reading comics. I liked that originally when she was born she was totally human, despite being born to two super powered characters, though I am sure that's probably been over turned. It's a shame she never figured more into Magneto's stories. Seriously mags... You were working towards a world where your grandchild would be hated and subjugated, and put to death, just like your family was in WWII. Luna would make Magneto's cognitive dissonance less an abstraction and more a concrete issue that would be right in his face. Seems a long time wasted opportunity.
