If it wan't for The Gauntlet and Flowers for Rhino, I wouldn't care. But those two stories made me love Aleksi.

I've always enjoyed Rhino, either as dumb bu enjoyable muscle or the guy looking to get out of that lifestyle with a family (Before it, ya know, ended.) Honestly, I'd like to see him become a hero, join Thunderbolts or something.

I remember the DEATH'S HEAD II mini series where in an alternate future Rhino was an Avenger and was friends with She-Hulk. I kinda think he and Sandman should have reformed years ago, like when Sandy was a reserve Avenger.

Let us go very old school today.

SGT. DUFFY

I have to guess this is a character from Simon and Kirby's original Cap run from the 1940's?

Yes, he's the cartoony sergeant always yelling at slacker Steve Rogers.

You are plumbing the depths tonight Aziz.

So... No strong opinion. I vaguely remember reading those early Cap stories (one where Cap cross dresses is just... Bizzare) from the WWII period. The stuff with the soldiers not knowing about Rogers and camp "mascot" Bucky just comes off weird today, but it was a very different time with a very different approach to this stuff.

Camp mascot, lol.
I like the movie treatment of Cap's story a lot more than those ancient comics.

But I bet Bamfs are better. :woot:

Umm... I have no idea.

I imagine he'd have peed himself had he found out about Steve.

You heard it here first folks... Captain America's secret super power... Controlling another person's bladder.

I'm sure the AIM nerds pee themselves whenever he shows up.

Let's see how deep I can really dig.

PHINEAS T. HORTON

Poor Prof. Horton. Never read even reprints of the classic golden age Torch so my impression of him and his creator comes from the later stories like WCA where he is brought in concerning the Vision. I think writers that used him in stories tried to mirror, as much as they could, the ambivalent or even sad feelings many of the super hero comic book creators from the golden age had towards their creations. Horton even in story says something along the lines of what Burgos, the Torch's creator might, about how he wanted to create something unique that would also make him his fortune, but now there's only regret.

Frankly, I'm still not all that clear, post AVENGERS FOREVER what exactly is the connection between Vision, Torch and Simon.

Hahahah you are digging deep Spider my man!
the dude who invented the robot human torch?! he's allright i guess! he did invent a dude who kicked the ^& outta Nazis!( kicking the &*(outta Nazis is always cool!) and then robot torch got turned into vision( before they recon all that)..and VISION IS ALWAYS COOL! so dudes okay in my book!

I liked how they portrayed him in Marvels. Beyond that, anyone who makes a robot that can fly and shot fireballs is okay in my book.

Jim Hammond is awesome, so Doc Horton gets points for making him.

I was introduced to Gaunt before Ruin (Superman...Emil Hamilton as a villain). Everytime I'm reminded of Gaunt, I think about Ruin. I really liked Ruin. A-list villain there, that was used ONCE and then never seen again...

So, that's Gaunt. In my opinion, he's not Ruin.

Didn't know about this guy, looks a bit interesting.

This guy was Stromm, right? I hardly knew him.
