MISTER NEGATIVE

I like the invert the personality thing he can do but he's never been as neat as other villains.

He's cool enough. I've enjoyed everything he's appeared in. That's insane considering he came from the same crap pool of ideas as Paper Doll, Overdrive (who only got good due to Superior Foes, and that happened yeeeears after his debut), Freak, Menace, and Screwball. Reading Spiral and I'm still interested in him. He's good.

Ye yep yep yep yep.

Aziz, one of these days you're going to have to start linking bios in the names. :p

I think I did that with a couple of characters before the original's demise.

Say hello to this Brother Blood rip-off

MENACE

Don't go pass Season 1. The best Eddie Brock. The best origin of the symbiote and Venom.

Best Venom is in the PS1 game.
"Surf the web, surf the web." :sym:

To me, it's the definitive Spider-Man cartoon. It draws heavily from the comics and I think pulls it off. I think the way they handle Venom is great. I also don't think it falls off in quality after the first season (although Secret Wars to the end wasn't so great and the ending was a bit anticlimactic).

Love the 90s Spider-Man show, it was my absolute favorite show when I was a kid. Some parts didn't age well, but I still enjoy it.

No idea who Menace is.

The 90's Spider-Man cartoon was awesome. Venom was amazing and the black suit origin was cut down to make it easy and understandable. I loved when it made him chase down Shocker like it was a horror movie. I mean look at Shocker, the guy takes down cops like they're kids and he's nearly peeing himself running away from Spider-Man.

Also we got Venom driving a truck. That alone makes it awesome.

Dude buried Spider-Man under rubble in one episode, twice, and the Spider-Man jumps at him without a scratch a second time, lifting heavy weight throwing it at him the second time.
That scene is awesome, the whole symbiote arc from season 1 is awesome.

It's cheesy as hell but imagine being chased down by a guy who can go anywhere you can and lots that you can't, has shown that he can throw cars around and now he's pissed off and wants your blood.

I prefer the quiet pissed spider-man in the books to the cheesy screaming one here though.

The one shouting "CAUSE MR., THE KID'S GLOVES ARE OFF." version?
Subtlety. :oldrazz:

Yeah, it was the heavily censored 90's, where no one could throw a punch and for some reason the cops had lasers.

Apparently, Fox's censorship (i.e., standard's and practices) wrote a letter saying "when Spider-Man jumps onto a ledge, make sure he doesn't accidentally injure any birds," which either suggests they didn't know how cartoons worked or they thought Spider-Man's animators were extremely sadistic towards small animals.

Anyway, there's a lovely resource regarding the censorship on X-Men, which I thought was actually a bit more relaxed overall (they even used the dreaded K Word at least once (link not to X-Men, but I do think it helps make fun of this censorship)).

My favorite was when Magneto was believed to have been killed on Asteroid M so the script wrote a funeral scene. Here was the response from the censor who was clearly no fun:
Page 2: Another funeral for another person who isn't really dead? Please could you just show the X-Man talking informally about Magneto over coffee or something, not have another death ceremony in the garden.

I can just imagine how they'd animate the birds. *Crunch* "Not again!"

As for the X-Men - "Boy that Magneto. Think he's dead this time?" *Slurp* "Nah."

I loved that show as a kid even though it was weird and made no sense and made drastic changes from the comics. Oh and the censors made it even weirder like Morbius having those hand suckers or Carnage being an energy vampire. And whose crazy idea was it that the way Carnage is created is cause of baron Mordo trying to bring Dormammu into our world. Or Mary Jane being Hydro-Man's clone, or the vulture turning into a spider creature. Man that show was weird but i loved it.

Or Spider-Man saving the different multiverse by teaming-up with different Spider-Men from different worlds by stopping Spider-Man/clone of Ben Reilly.
The show is fun.

I didn't like how Kingpin was like behind nearly every thing. The Punisher was the worst.
