Man **** the Trasks. They got the government to spend billions making giant robots when they could just have easily setup schools like Xaviers and had a much easier time with all the mutant terrorists since they'd have an army of mutants that would be loyal to them and Magneto would be less of an ass about everything.

The smart thing to do would be proactive about super people randomly getting powers and help them instead of squishing them with giant robots.

yeah that would be the smart thing to do KG but this is the Marvel U! and the people there are as smart as a box of rocks!!they decide to build big Giant purple and lavender robots which cause more damage than it does to just leave those F^&*(ing guys alone in the 1st place!!

I haven't read Inferno yet so I'll say this. She actually started as a very strong female character who stood out from Jean Grey. This is particularly true in the Fall of the Mutants and the Australian era. She's an X-Man even without any powers.

yeah i read Inferno and dug and acutally she could have been a contender since she was a strong female character! i liked her as the Goblin queen...but Marvel dropped the ball! i like her!

I love Maddie. She's a great character that told everyone to go to hell when they pissed her off. I didn't used to like her until I read the older Xbooks. I used to think she was just a Jean stand in but after reading them I like her far more than Jean. Anyone who isn't Wolverine that calls out Scott on his BS is awesome in my book. Especially when she tells him not to come back if he leaves to go back to X-Factor/Jean.

It sucks what they did to her just so Jean could be the 'One' for Scott. I'd love for her to come back so we could see her interactions with Cable. I think it would be heart breaking. I know she came back in the X-Man series but I ignore that since it went bizarre and never came back.

Character and personality is not too far from jean grey, because she's just a clone

I disagree with her personality being not far from Jean Grey. In fact, one of the things that always stood out is she's a very different character cursed to look like Jean Grey (the clone thing was a later retcon anyway).

Regarding Ultimate Gwen Stacy. I thought she was an interesting enough take on the character. It worked well in that universe, particularly after the Death of Spider-Man storyline. I liked how she lived with Peter and kind of became a sister to him. It was one of those things that helped set the 1610 universe apart from the 616 one.

What I truly don't get about Ultimate Gwen is that when she first debuted in USM, everyone hated her for being this punk-rock version of the character. Gwen wasn't allowed to be anything but the "Aeris of FFVII" character type, and making her this rock-girl was so sacrilege that people hated what Bendis had done with this alternate continuity character.

Yet that's EXACTLY what Spider-Gwen and the "Spidey" comic book versions of Gwen Stacy are, and the EVERYONE'S EATING IT UP...
