I like Kyle. He's had some bad years lately, but if you subtract most of Geoff Johns and Ben Raab's work with him and ignore Countdown like anyone with any sense does, he's got a lot of great stories.

I think it's stupid and they shoulda went with Yellow covering all emotions, and have the other ones be other stuff, like, Power, Imagination, Mind, Soul.....you know, rip off the Infinity Gems.

John's my least favourite Lantern. Know why? NOBODY DOES ANYTHING WITH HIM!
He has so much potential and he's just always there... looking a bit bored.
It's 2012 and for some reason, writer's still seem to think that his simply being black is some sort of substitute for a personality. I mean, compared to the other Earth Lanterns, the guy's a blank page.
And when somebody DOES do something with him, it's usually bad news. Mosaic, anyone? I can pretty much read anything Lantern-related but seriously, What IS that book?! The one thing of any real note he's ever done is blow up Planet Whatchamcallit... and even then, he hasnt stopped *****in' about ever since...

Loves JS! The 2nd greatest Lantern!(for me anyway.. I'm not stepping into that "causality loop" of who's the 1st) and yes! as a brother i still wanted the white cat on the JL cartoon more than him! with Hal being the daredevil, kyle not knowing &^% and guy as the hothead. He's the level headed one!( see not all brothers have to be "angry." )..plus he was sooooo bagging so many chicks!!red ones,blue ones, chicks with wings, Supermodel chicks!( "celebrate dont discriminate!") that was sooo cool!! JS rocks like those tiny elves singing Metallica in my head now from partying!

Him and the black racer.. up recently with the intro of Icon,the blue Marvel and Maxam were the only brothers with a serious superman cosmic level power instead of the street level booS*&^% that most had. that dude has earned his love from me!

John sucks. He was all right in JL/JLU, but he sucks in the comics. Like, aggressively sucks. People look at him and go, "Why even try to write him well? Dude sucks." And that's why his cycle of suck will continue forever, even after Johns retconned in his Marine background--basically the least important part of why cartoon John was interesting, for the record.

He's okay, liked him on JL/JLU except for the Hawkgirl stuff because I only like the Hawks to be together.

Can't believe I missed out on Kyle. The dude is my favorite GL. He's like Nightwing in the sense that he's a good guy that's easy to like and cheer for.

Jon Stewart is cool too. He's better than the other lanterns to me because he's black y'all. He's black y'all! He's blacker than black, and he's black y'all!

But no, really, he's the level headed one so I like him. I gotta read Mosaic one of these days.

Anyway. I like John in his JL/JLU renditions. I liked it better when they focused on his architect background more than his Marine background though. I mean, he was one of the few Lanterns who still wanted to make a difference in the universe even after he'd lost his ring and became a Darkstar. That's pretty ballsy. Also, I think he was the most level-headed (i.e. Boring) GL of the 4. I mean you've got the crazy one, the skirt chaser, the artist and...John.

Easily better as a cartoon character than as a comic character. I've never read him during his "bad-ass" days. Did they really exist? Anyhoo, I don't hate him, heavens no, but he's probably my least favorite GL.

Co-workers at work actually did complain about a month ago about how "they replaced Green Lantern with a white guy in the movies...cause he's supposed to be black." They assumed this race-change was because Ryan Reynalds is a more marketable movie star than any black actor so they just made him white. I...really don't like talking to my co-workers so I didn't bother telling them that the mainstream comic book GL is white.
