yeah i guess he could've been a Lawyer or some other true life bad guy! Hahaha:cwink: oh death god!

Alfred is awesome. Batman has great supporting characters coming out his bat-ears.

I'm sure Al would have rather he didn't become a Vigilante, but, eh, what chu gonna do?

Sometimes I get the feeling that Alfred isn't against the whole superhero thing, he's just against how tacky Bruce's approach is.

Alfred is all kinds of :awesome:

He's my favourite supporting character in the Batman comic books with his dry wit and puns and the adorable surrogate father role he's played for Bruce

His scene when he thought Bruce was dead in the aftermath of Battle for the Cowl made me cry ;_;

That's it for Good Old Al. Everybody love Al.

The Fortress of Solitude

The Fortress should be the coolest place in the DCU. All sorts of antiques, alien life and technology, huge statues, and maybe even a few robo-butlers.

A 9 on the Rocktor scale! i so wanted that place when i was a kid. it's freakin awesome man! Even when he had that big ass key to open it back then. i love that place. even better than the batcave! it so rocks that among that cool ass bed in Supes 2( were he did the nasty) and alien technology. it has spanking robots for girls!

that place rocks!

The FOS is my favorite headquarters of any superhero, and the more classic, the better

I've been looking all over for that pic from All-Star Superman. Thank you.

The Fortress of Solitude is pretty much the coolest place to live ever

It's like the Bat Cave on drugs. As well as trophies and such from past adventures its full of weird alien technology alien life forms wacky things that Superman has collected

And it opens with a gigantic key! :awesome:

I like that Krypto has a doghouse of solitude too :atp:

Whut

I want a robot like that :atp:

They should bring back the Wonder Dome

And the invisible plane. And the kangaroos :hrt:

Hate the Fortress in the movies. It's got an interesting look from the outside, but once you're in there, it's the most visually stagnant hideout ever. There's just nothing there. See one lumpy bunch of crystals, you've seen them all. Yawn.

Really like the classic comic one. Filled with alien relics and confiscated weapons, an intergalactic zoo, robots, Jor-El and Lara statue, etc. Cool stuff. My only quibble is that the Fortress itself is kind of dull, IMO. The things within it were pretty sweet, but it mostly seemed like it would just be a bunch of blank hallways otherwise.

I also really liked the tesseract sphere Fortress from the early '00s. Infinite space within a finite container. Really cool sci-fi-ish idea that I was a big fan of, and the interior space of the Fortress was filled to the brim with crazy technology and architecture, but Clark's museum/collection that he kept in there was lacking a lot of the fun things from the old FOS, like the Titanic.

If there was ever a combination of the tesseract and classic Fortresses, I'd be all over that s**t.

Static

Never cared for him. In fact, I didn't know of him until the Kids WB cartoon. Too ethnic and "hip" for my liking (I can never find an acceptable portrayal of black characters...) Then I learned that he wasn't an original character made for a cartoon show, but was a DC owned/Milestone owned character. And I saw his portrayal in those earlier comic books. And I vomited.

So there you go. Sorry, McDuffie.

Yeah, honestly? I never really liked Milestone.

Hahahahaha Oh man!
He's a #1 on the suckometer and totally cause I dig lightning based characters is why he gets a 1!! Haha The white dude from "Zen-La" gets a surfboard to ride around on and this guy gets a trashcan lid!!! HUH?!? that was so wrong !I looooveeddd Milestone!! Icon, Hardware, Shadow cabinet( i loove that name!),Blood syndicate were my favs, but xombi and Static not so much!( not like anyone asked or cared) just cause Barney says sharing is caring!:cwink:

I don't mind Static, mostly because I liked the whole Milestone thing and wanted it to work.

I don't know, they just bore me.

Never really caught on with me. Being an African American, It was nice that they were trying to create more diverse characters, but it seemed like that's all they really were. Characters who were black, Hispanic, Asian, etc, who happened to be superheroes when it should really be the other way around. For God's sake Icon is dressed in the Pan-African Flag. It was all that early 90's, Afrocentric stuff I just couldn't stand. No I don't want a Kente Kufi Hat! It looks ridiculous! :argh:

I guess it's cuz I never felt the need to relate to comic book characters. A character having the same skin color as me is not a requirement for me. I just wanna be entertained, and for the most part, I simply wasn't.

That's fair enough

I dug some of the Milestone characters especially Shadow Cabinet. They were pretty :awesome:

I was always indifferent to Static. Meh.
