Just so you guys know....I'm now reviewing the posts in here.....sure hope no one did anything they shouldn't have.

Moral are you causing trouble again? Hahaha hes morally deficient whiskey( of course he makes people mad you know I say only cause I love you) I am a hulk fan but I like the stupid one which most people don't like! All he wanted to do is to be left the %^*(( alone, which trust me a lot of people who want to use him( gen ross) can't do. I wouldn't call that a bully...now these other hulks which I don't particually like are something else.

Review all you'd like, nothing nasty was said by either party, just a spirited debate.

But for the record I most of what I do I shouldn't do, just not in here.

I cause no trouble, I like to debate.

I also like the stupid noble hulk (though the version from AEMH is also pretty ****). That version was never a bully, he would actually run from a fight just so he wouldn't have to bother unless someone was in danger.

Ross is growing on me I'll admit.

Ross does that. He's like a fungus. Since the sum total of his character arc moved beyond just running around and punching everyone, that is.

Yes he is, ever since loeb was off him and he decided he's actually been a bit of a *****e with some things he's been getting fairly cool.

I still say WWH should have ended with Ross shooting hulk in the head. The one time the general was actually right about hulk and the army just got ran over again. Sad, would have been interesting if the one time Ross definitively beat the hulk was when ross was morally in the right.

Thank you for the permission to review the thread....I appreciate it immensely.

Oh, and the official warning for the name calling/baiting is on the way.

I find that condescending in the same form you warned me of! How dare you! If I was the hulk my rage would increase my strength to unreasonable and laughable levels! Rage!

I appreciate your input and will facilitate my actions to better showcase the high standards of debate you have set forth and thank you for your valuable input into this and future debates.

Your post was made by you towards a another poster in an argument....thus it was deemed condescending, rude, and inappropriate.

Before I had a chance to review all posts...I made a post saying that I would review the thread to see if there was anything inappropriate said in here (because we had received reports about the thread).

You then made a post that was condescending and flippant when I was saying that all bad behavior should now cease as I review the thread.

So my response was a kind way of saying - knock it off and straighten up - and it apparently went over your head. So let me make it more plain. Currently you are moving into trolling territory....I very highly suggest you take it down a notch...listen to me about posting civilly....and knock off the attitude.

Actually I wasn't being condescending to you, I honestly thought neither myself nor WT said anything that was out of line or even bordering on being outright nasty towards each other but then that can always be a perspective thing. I was just saying look all you want cause it's all good (but apparently it wasn't in your eyes, which again, perspective).

No I got it, I am simply responding to posts made to me. With the exception of your original one which was directed at both myself and WT. Though all of this could be dealt with in PM form and not on the board, but that's your choice.

My attitude I'll keep but I'll never call anyone little miss again and for the record WT I apologize for calling you that, I was wrong. I know it can be hard to tell but I'm being sincere about that.

At any rate the opinions expressed towards superheroes in this thread just got a lot more interesting since we're apparently now working under the assumption that defeating a murderous villain makes one a bully.

Yes, that's what I was saying. Not that a villain being more powerful than a hero and the hero needing to come from behind and possibly sacrifice their life makes them more noble.

Or just expressing the idea that someone trained to fight and kill with superpowers that at a resting state is more powerful than a hero would logically be much tougher than the hero and therefore very hard to kill is a logical conclusion.

No, defeating a murderous villain makes one a bully, that's what I was saying.

And I would think a trained soldier vs a freaking scientist that can't fight at all would end in about eight seconds before he could just keep getting stronger and stronger. Pressure points, holds, weapons training and strategic thinking should ko the hulk out right and before he can use one of his trade mark fighting techniques like clapping his hands together or stomping his feet (seriously the hulk fights exactly the same way a 3 year old throwing a tantrum acts).

The only real fights I agree with between them were the first ones where abomination basically beat the hulk to death each time.

I wouldn't say the Hulk fights like a 3 year old throwing a tantrum. I'd say he fights like an animal, he attacks based on instinct and his moves are based on the experience he's amassed over the years.

Now Abomination is more skilled, but the turning point of the fights usually is the Hulk is stronger. So eventually no amount Spetsnaz training is going to help.

Imagine a unarmed soldier vs a gorilla. Yes the unarmed soldier is better trained, and knows plenty of locks and holds and pressure points. But the gorilla is so powerful, and so thick skinned that none of thats going to mean **** when he's hammer fisting you wildly into the ground.

As of my opinion of Abomination. I'd say hes my second favorite Hulk baddie. Next to Absorbing man.

I still enjoy the Abomination although I was a little skeptical about some of the choices made for the character throughout the years. I think part of the problem is that he never seemed to resonate that mondo powerhouse-kinda vibe after he first showed up; even though at some point his original power base was restored to him. Maybe he should have extended his range a bit more and thrashed a few other second-tier heroes till he regained some status or props or whatever...

anyway...yeah..I still like him...

Abomination is cool, and as for the entire fighting skills thing, that never gets brought into play with the Hulk, mostly because his rage covers up whatever lack of skills he has. If he could be easily beaten by a more skilled opponent of equal physical power, then Abomination and several others would destroy him in minutes, and he wouldn't even last 10 seconds against Thor or Hercules. Strongmen rarely get to fight with much skill, and after Kirby left his characters, fight scenes have just become popularity contests anyway.

I loved norman as their leader during Ellis' run, that was the best, scariest, craziest, most nazi crucifyingest version of osborn ever. Bendis fails miserably trying to recreate that level of cool ellis gave him.

Pretty much. Naked maniacal monologues don't get much better.

Dark Avengers was a poor mans version of Ellis' T-Bolts.

On that note, Ellis writing Sentry? Hmmm

Hehe i so had this as a kid!:woot:

well i expect that from the lord of the underworld spider!:cwink:

I sooooo pass on Satan's son, its typefacable.

Meanwhile, over there...

MORBIUS! I love Morbius. He's my favorite Vampire in any medium (save for the character I write in my fiction, strongly inspired by MORBIUS! My favorite Vampire in any medium!) And in a world filled with TOO MUCH VAMPY-SH&% that glitters and sparkles and caters to horny tween-girls, old women who just need some, and gay (not that there's anything wrong with that) men, we need more Morbius-vampires.

I never cared for the supernatured. Sure, I love Werewolves, but, like Vampires, I prefer them to have more of a Sciency-twist on them. Making Morbius a "Living Vampire" (ie:, no silly garlic weakness or unexplained "combusting in sunlight/no refelction/all the other silly weaknesses or magical limitations); its the lack of "magic" with these types of creatures that I like, and Morbius never went the magic route. He made for a filler Spider-Man villain...I couldn't care less for the Spider-Man Rogue Morbius, but put him in his own book, or better yet, alongside other "Midnighters" (preferably, especially, Werewolf by Night) and I'll read it.

One last note...I hate his costume.

I may be in the minority, but THIS look should be his current one (or close to it), even if it does fall into the cliche "Underworld" territory. Its just that his original costume is extremely outdated and doesn't make sense. To me. In an Opinion topic.

I've enjoyed SoS in Journey into Mystery as of late and I've always been a Morbius fan. He's one of the most under-used Spidey villains. I'm curious to see what he has up his sleeve with the Lizard. His solo series that launched out of Rise of the Midnight Sons was pretty good.
