Wish they'd use Fu Manchu more. I know he's kind of a racist stereotype but the guys awesome.

As is Darkhawk. Really dig him. Especially with what they've done with him in recent years.

Funny how in the early 902 I loved Darkhawk more than Nova. Its funny, cause they've switched for me.

I was really hoping Darkhawk and Quasar and maybe the Guardians would join Rich as some kind of special agent squad in the new Nova Corps. Or at least work with them as joint agencies looking after the universe after all the s*** that's gone down since Annihilation. But alas, Marvel decided the best thing to do with characters they'd elevated to fan-favorites was kill them off.

Sad thing, really
Before knowing he was a novel character, I thought he was created for Marvel comics, liked Dr. Fu Manchu/Mr. Han as a villain, even if his Marvel Comics story was silly: "My son, I teach you Kung Fu for good" and secretly "I'm evil"

I never quite got into Fu Manchu as he was in the MU. I was aware that the character existed before Marvel comics and it just seemed kinda forced to have him 1: as a villain and 2: as Shang Chi's daddy-O.


Darkhawk I was pretty meh about till I started reading Nova. Then I wound up liking him more or less. I'm still not completely gung-ho about the character but I wouldn't mind seeing him beat the comic-death-deal and show up somewhere again..

Weasel is the Donatello of Deadpool, DP bribes him with booze

Sandi was DP's secretary for a while, has a nice and reliable personality, sometimes too gullible

Fu Manchu is awesome, I've read several of the novels and loved Master of Kung-Fu. Plus Christopher Lee played him in the movies. Any villain that Lee plays automatically rules. I don't get what the whole fuss is about, he is a villain who happens to be Chinese, that doesn't mean all Chinese people are evil. He was damn imposing and brilliant. It's this same kind of insane PC thinking that is keeping Mandarin out of the Iron Man movies, apparently.

The other characters I don't know and have no opinion on. Darkhawk's costume is pretty nice, though.

I loved Tieri's work a few years back when I first read it, tried his stories again, they are a bit cheesy and lame

Weasel was awesome. Sandi was ok. But Deadpool's best supporting cast member was surely Blind Al. The issue where they go back in time to an early ASM issue, and Wade is disguised as Parker and Al pretends to be Aunt May is probably still the funniest comic Marvel has ever produced.

Never heard of the Matador. Have a little exposure to Gladiator in Frank Miller's Daredevil but that is it. I like him ok, no strong opinion.

You should check out some of Joe Kelly's work from the older Deadpool series if you ever get a chance. Hilarious stuff.
