Stephen King's 'Carrie' remake

Looks good, looks like they may be more true to the book, especially with half the town being destroyed. While the original film just minimized it to the school.

Yeah I was hoping it would hold a little closer to the book in that regard.

Love the look on her face at the end. Creepy.

Looks just how a big hollywood remake to Carrie would look it.

getting really tired of all the ' remakes suck blah blah blah hollywood run outta ideas blah blah blah' crap. Youtube is full of dumb****s.

Well those complaining about they are "making it bigger' by having all the town being destroyed.....as I said before, that is how it happened in the book, because of technology/budget they could not do that with the original film. I love the original film, but hope they are more true to the book. You barley get to see Carrie learn her powers, and do much more with them in the original film then you did in the book.

Exactly!

I actually watched the original a few nights ago(been a long time)and I still enjoyed it but there's definitely room for improvement, so I'm actually excited for this remake.

Ya same here. The book was much better, so there is tons of room for improvement. Seems like a great cast, so I'm excited for this and The Evil Dead remake.

I usually don't like horror films, minus some of the classics. But these two I'm jacked for.

That teaser's not enough for me to make any kind of snap judgment on, but I do think it was smart of them to tease the destruction of the town since that's a pretty major aspect of the book that was left out of the original. It's an extremely efficient way of saying, "no, this isn't the same thing you saw before."

You guys call that viral phone number to get those answering machine messages left on you?

Just joined this thread and got hyped for the movie. Apologies if already posted.

My only complaint was I didnt get any kind of creepy vibe. Chloe looked more frightened "holy **** did i do this?" than frightening.

Why are they releasing Halloween type movies, in the spring? This and Hansel and Gretal, not to mention Dark Shadows, are fall type/Halloween kind of movies. It kind of takes me out of the mood to watch this in the earlier part of the year.

That's kind of how she's supposed to look. She goes into a blind rage and is not exactly proud of her actions.

Exactly. I think of Carrie the same way I think of Charlie McGee. They're both capable of massive destruction, but most of it is reactionary. They're not setting out to hurt others.

Oh well that is cool if they are getting it right and being true to the character. Ive never read the book or seen the original movie so i wasnt sure. I look forward to seeing more especially since it includes Chloe. That girl is on fire lately.
