Stephen King's 'Carrie' remake

I never could get over your sig, terry78. I'm talking about Greg Kinnear.

its not a remake until the movie is out. then you see that they copied scenes from the first movie and used the same dialoge. they promote it as the true real adaptation of the book.

It's always a joy to see such optimism in every post.

Personally, I think Chole Mortez is the most talented young actress of her age group, followed by Elle Fanning, and while I'm usually not too keen on reboots or remakes I think this cast is very solid, and definitely makes me interested to see how the movie would turn out.

True. I also heard people give high praise to the girl in the True Grit remake as well.

I was just thinking about the inevitable "She's too pretty to play a loser" complaints that have come out since Moretz was cast. And it made me wonder- lets say an awkward kid who has been going to school with the same group of kids their whole life and was a social outsider whose treatment ranged from polite, but distant, to outright cruelty. Would that person suddenly developing into an attractive young man or woman in their early to late teens really start to turn things around? I remember there were perfectly attractive girls who weren't thought of as such because they were a little weird or shy.

Judy Greer and Portia Doubleday joins the cast.

Judy Greer is playing the gym teacher while Portia Doubleday is playing Chris.

Ivana Baquero is no longer attached to the role of Chris Hargenson.

Those other girls better be ready to throw some tampons. :o:up:

So far the cast is -

Carrie - Chloe Moretz
Margaret White - Julianne Moore
Ms. Collins(IMDB has it as Desjardin) - Judy Greer
Sue Snell - Gabriella Wilde
Chris Hargensen - Portia Doubleday
Tommy Ross - Ansel Elgort
Billy Nolan - Alex Russell

Because nothing says religiously introverted troubled teen like a pair of Wayfairers and an Iphone :whatever:

[BLACKOUT]yes, I know it's probably during a break in the shooting[/BLACKOUT]

I didn't think they'd actually go through with it.

She sort of has a Westboro church thing going on.

I think the shower scene would require a 18 year old actress just because of the nudity but I imagine they could get really creative with camera shots.

That's a long ass hash tag.

Nice, I was hoping Moore would be more transformed though; maybe I'll see it more onscreen.

I like it. It's subtle, but at the same time she looks like she's about to go nuts.
