Horror Stephen King's "IT" Part I and Part II

Preparing myself as I'm going to watch the **** out of this trailer on Thursday!!!!

Is it going to be attached to Detective Pikachu?! :funny:

Almost as bad as the Hereditary incident.

That would be pretty terrible if it was lol No, no way it can happen right...?

I almost don't wanna ask about Hereditary incident :D

I hope it's a really good trailer and not just some sad cover of a song, with glimpses of new actors and Pennywise jumpscaring the audience at the very end lol

I read the book a few months ago, and I have to say I like the original miniseries better as an adaptation. I think the 50s and 80s settings are important, and modernizing the story takes something away from it. Also the way the original miniseries framed the story similarly with flashbacks instead of linearly feels more in line with the book. Overall, both adaptations made deviations, but the deviations in the original are more forgivable IMO. Tim Curry's performance is far superior, and is one of the great horror performances of all time. The acting from the kids in the remake is better, but they feel like more distinct characters in the original. Richie, Stan, Eddie, and Bill all sort of blend together in the remake, their personalities don't feel distinct enough.

I'm very excited for the second part though. I hope that eventually we will get the perfect adaptation of this story. I think the correct way to adapt this is a big budget miniseries.

WB is just gonna unleash balloons all over the place till September lol

I hope it's a shot for shot remake of the Star is Born trailer, only with Pennywise as Bradley Cooper and each of the Losers as Gaga.

Very encouraging. King was fully behind the first movie, too, after seeing it early and that turned out fantastic.

Hey, I’m excited too but King endorsing a movie/TV adaptation of his book doesn’t really mean much.

*cough* Hence why I mentioned his endorsement of the first movie and nothing else *cough*

I may have to reread the book in time for chapter 2! I read the book and finished it the night chapter 1 released haha

I guess? Look I think this will be fantastic, but then why would it be encouraging if he says that about all his adaptations?

*cough*
