There wasn't anything really scary.
Oh man... I'm so ready to see this! That was a great teaser trailer! The only thing that bugs me a bit is that it seems that they removed Bill's stutter. I really hope the stutter is in the final film...
But everyone who still doesn't like the Pennywise design, this design is actually much closer to the look the character had in the novel. Plus, Pennywise doesn't always go after kids as a clown; a lot of the time he takes the form of kids different fears, such as the leper.
Overall, this film looks promising!
If you have a fear of clowns in general, sure. But in that case you are screwed no matter what.
I don't find anything particularly scary about Ronald McDonald, for instance. But you better believe I'd be ****ting myself if I found him in a dark basement where he didn't belong.
Old Ronald should've been a template to go off of when designing the new Pennywise. Give me horror through context, not this tired "Look at how scary he is!" angle.

I think I've grown out of horror films because the trailer did nothing for me.
I noticed that too. That's the only thing that's bothering me, did they just hide it in the trailer?
I think that last shot of Pennywise coming out of the water was.........disturbing.
I've outgrown them too but strangely this trailer did get my blood pumping maybe cause I loved the mini series the clown looks great IMO
Am I the only one that didn't notice a stutter though? Is that just me?
Fairly effective trailer. They're selling it like more a typical horror movie. I doubt it is.
I kind of don't care that he looks scary as a clown. At no point in the book is this thing's emergence into a situation portrayed as "normal". It's always weird, eerie, etc. And there are different levels to Its appearance, even as a clown.
Beyond that, It's primary goal is to terrorize children. It feeds on them when they're terrified, and that enhances It's experience.
"You all taste so much better when you're afraid."
By the way guys... if you've only seen the 90s mini-series, and not read the book, you're missing an awful lot of what IT actually is. There is stuff going on at the book's climax that never made it to the screen back then. If they do it properly this time around, it'll be an ending that'll freak a lot of people out with how much it diverts from typical horror movie endings.
IT is actually a fantasy movie... not really a horror, if it's done right.
I had IT in my hands the other night. I think it's time to make the purchase of the oversized edition.
And it's up:
