Damn the freddy krueger of our generation? COUNT ME IN!!!! Though I was in from the first trailer lol.

The trailers obviously sold me, but the early buzz online is encouraging. I think we might have a horror classic on our hands.

I love the #ITMovie. It's everything I wanted. Scary as s*t, Skarsgard nails Pennywise, and the Losers are perfection.

Happy to say #IT is an effectively scary & faithful adaptation of (half) @StephenKing's novel. Walked out very satisfied. @ITMovieOfficial

I can say I saw #IT tonight. And IT was great. Cast is excellent. And, yes, ????is scary! This will be a, ahem, monster at the box office.

OK, my thoughts on #ITMovie. Get ready for a lot of tweets, but the basic gist is this: it's an all-timer. @ITMovieOfficial

#ITMovie is riffing on Nightmare on Elm Street in the best ways. Fantasy horror at its peak. Feels like a modern 80s movie.

The amount of violence and horrific imagery in regards to children is SHOCKING. They didn't hold back. It's great.

#ITMovie isn't "date night" horror. It's epic, strongly character focused, and feels like a "superhero" horror movie.

There are plenty of plot and character changes, but the spirit, tone, and intensity of the book is all there.

#ITMovie is going to be a milestone horror film for this generation. Hope young kids see it like kids saw horror in the 80s

#ITmovie social embargo is up, so I will say... I liked it! Kids are great. BSkars is great. Also, surprisingly, it's pretty dang funny.

I don't want to overstate the comedy aspect. It's not a full horror-comedy. But it's REAL goddamn fun in addition to being scary.

Thrilled I can now say that IT is spectacular. Totally terrifying, but also amazing fun (the Losers are PERFECT). Top 10 candidate for me.

I'm glad to hear so much good buzz for this movie, considering how skeptical I was of it at first. These next two weeks are going to be a rough one, especially with how dead the box-office has been. This is going to crush everything in it's path next month though.

Well, the first impressions are encouraging. Good.

I watched the first half of the TV mini-series as a kid and it traumatized me... I had nightmares for months because of it, and to be honest even to this day clowns still make me uneasy. But now I think it's finally time to face my fears... it's time to go back to Derry.

I'm a bit confused by the tweet calling it a "superhero movie" but I'm glad they're positive. I'm going through the Twitter tag and have yet to find a negative one.

#ITMovie peaks in the first 10 minutes and never reaches that height again. Lots of nostalgia, but not much else. Full REVIEW 9/5

Ah, thats sweet. I'm in nova too, which theater downtown?

The same theater most of the screenings I go to are held at, Regal Gallery Place right next to The Verizon Center. It's usually very tough to get there in time so I don't get to go as often as I'd like but for IT, I took off time from work.

I still need to see it a few more times, but as of right now here are my rankings for SK adaptations.

1. Shawshank Redemption
2. Stand By Me
3. Misery
4. IT
5. The Shining (I see it as Kubricks vision alone, I'm a huge fan of the book so I can't help but feel that it's a poor adaptation, but I can recognize what a great horror film it is.

IT is probably my favorite SK book, so I may be a little biased with my view on the new film. Andys take holds the spirit of the book in the highest regard. The movie has a ton of heart and it's cast flourishes with each character. This is an adaptation in the truest sense, many liberties are taken but the core themes remain the same.
It's about childhood and friendship, and the trauma that comes along. The kids do wonders, you grow fond of them almost instantly.
Bill Skarsgard is fantastic in this, it's hard not to have the Ledger comparisons, but Bill disappears into the role completely. This as of right now is my favorite film of the year, and probably one of best horror films in the past decade, in my opinion. I loved get out, but it's a completely different type of film.

This is going to make huge bank, and the sequel is definitely my most anticipated film.

I'm a bit confused by the tweet calling it a "superhero movie".

I'm guessing it's the fact you have seven characters banding together to face a greater threat. The Losers probably have a bit of a team vibe to them.

King praising the hell out of the movie.

I've talked to a lot of people who aren't into horror movies but are super pumped for this. I definitely think this is going to be huuuugeeee, as Trump would say.

The trail of drool coming from him is so unsettling.

I have never been so excited for a horror film!

They knocked it out of the ballpark with the cast. These kids are great. I am far too hyped for this flick.

I love that Richie's fear is clowns. That the thing that's meant to lure him is actually the thing he's most frightened of.
