Pics of the poster?

The Mondo poster hasn't been released yet. So when they drew the raffle ticket they explained that the poster we'd be winning we would receive some type of voucher towards it. Unfortunately I didn't win, but I did get a free t-shirt and enamel pin.

The Alamo Mondo stuff is viewable on the Drafthouse website when you go to buy your tickets if anyone is curious.

Finally in interview with Bill Skarsgard. So happy to see he understands the essence of what Pennywise is. He took bringing a true adaptation to the character very seriously.

He not only took it seriously and understood it, he had a lot of fun with it and it showed in his performance. When he's tormenting the kids you can almost see glee in his eyes.

I hope we get to see that audition on the blu ray special features.

Terrifying child Pennywise cosplay.

In other news I snagged some tickets to a showing this Monday.

I'm hesitant on whether or not to watch this with a packed theater at night or watch it matinee time.

Same, I've been to Horror films where some people decide their gonna be a comedian and it's so annoying. But also times (paranormal activity) where it's fun to be buried in your seat from freight with a packed house

Its crazy looking back on mine and others reactions when Fukunaga walked away from the project. I wrote the project off and figured the film would be ****. But here we are a week from release and this might just be a horror classic and a gem. So happy I was wrong about this.

I love watching horror movies with a large crowd. Its one of the few times I dont mind an audience being vocal during a film. Everyone's reacting together and just having a good time together.

Putting the credit lines under the titls was a horrible design choice. That **** should have been put at the bottom of the poster in tiny print or not been put on the poster at all.

The last time I saw a horror film, opening day with a big audience was The Conjuring over three years ago and it was a pretty awful experience. I don't mind an audience reacting and being vocal, but there are some who are just straight up a-holes that ruin it for everybody. I still remember a lot of the dumbass teenagers cracking jokes almost every 5 minutes trying so hard to be funny, but failing miserably.

I'm anticipating It quite a bit and have planned on seeing opening day, but I don't want a repeat of my last bad experience, so I might have to catch an early matinee showing just to be safe.

That's a good point you guys have about seeing it in a packed theater. I saw the Evil Dead remake in a packed theater and the screams made the movie better for me, but then I saw The Conjuring and there were a bunch of teenage boys in the theater guffawing and trying to prove to their buddies that they're not the scaredy cat of the group.

I always go to horror off peak, or it can absolutely ruin the experience.

It's funny because I saw Friday The 13th 2009 and Paranormal Activity 2 and 3 opening day and those were some of the most fun experiences I had watching a horror film with a sold-out crowd. Now that audience knew how to react without being too annoying, but ever since The Conjuring I haven't done it since because of how miserable that was, but maybe I'll give it another chance.

I think the best way to see it with people but avoid the ****** ones is to go when teens are less likely to be there. Thursday at 10 or 12 at night is a good bet. Hopefully.

Luckily I go to Alamo Drafthouse, so no one can make a peep or look at the their phone during the movie or they get booted right out. I have become spoiled to the point of whenever I go to a non-Alamo theater, I find myself getting immediately annoyed with the typical theater crowd.

Shirt wise, I'm waiting for Cavity Colors, Fright-Rags or Terror Threads to come up with their shirt release. It'll be soon for one of them and I'm sure it'll feature fantastic artwork.

It's hit or miss with the large crowds at a horror film. On one hand, yes, it's a lot of fun and everyone's sharing the frights together lol. On another hand, people feel as if they're given permission to be as loud and rude and disrespectful as possible. I really wish there was more of an effort to shut those ppl up. Video warnings before the show are way too polite. They need to be more aggressive. My experiences from deliberate chair rocking/squeaking, to cell phone use, to candy throwing, to unnecessary laughter and conversations during a film should have a zero tolerance policy, and it should be known.

If anyone acts in any such way to my showings of IT I will fight them lol.
