Cool, glad he's already gearing up for round 2. The portion with the adults isn't insanely horror, but it's unsettling when you discover what Pennywise really is.

It's been ages since I watched the original, but I saw it was on today and the first half is just ending. Still really good, but if memory serves the first half is definitely better than the 2nd.:yay:

I just watched the 1990 version as well. It's surprisingly good even if it is dated, like a low budget Goonies or Stand By Me, though Currywise isn't as scary as people give him credit for. The second part is some silly bull****; terrible. The adult actors clearly aren't into it.

On a different note, I read about the early draft of the script and the true form of IT wasn't a spider but [BLACKOUT]described more as a giant starfish with a giant eye in the center as it's "deadlight."[/BLACKOUT]

What do you guys think? [BLACKOUT]Doesn't sound like it has much potential for a battle but I think the TV movie left a bad taste for the giant spider.[/BLACKOUT]

Preserve the mystery. Hide Pennywise

I hope they at least let him make an appearance at the premiere tomorrow. He's still a young up and coming actor and deserves to be recognized on the films big night.

That reminds me I need to buy red balloons and plant them everywhere at work.

I really want to leave random red balloons places to freak people out now. :funny:

You're gonna get those randos that have no idea what it means though, thereby negating the scare.

I'm thinking of putting some red balloons around my apartment complex. Hype the movie a bit.

or perhaps it is assumed that people have read the book.

Some of the questions are about specific ways the movie handles and adapts elements of the book though. Figured I'd give people a heads up.

Last month the film adaptation of Stephen King’s "The Dark Tower", was released and that was endlessly mediocre if not just flat out terrible. But we can all agree the Stephen King film adaptation that we were all gearing up to see was IT. After being in development hell for over eight years, we finally have this long anticipated adaptation finally stepping from the small screen to the silver screen, and this is only part 1 of a two part story. But hey, if we needed a new reason to get stricken with Coulrophobia, "IT" would be……it.

Also the cast came to my job recently and I asked them who would be their dream casting for the Part 2 sequel. Here's what they had to say:

Trust me. This film is great. Get your tickets early. It'll sell quick. So proud of the Muschetti siblings.

Chastain has so been courted for Beverly already.

Man, I rally cannot wait to see this movie again. Beep beep Richie!

One of the coolest touches at the screening last week, was having all of the screening employees dressed in the yellow slicker, totally in character silent, holding the red balloons with the IT logo on them.

Got my tickets for Sat. It was nearly sold out already.

Yeah, I am just now noticing that with reserved seating theatres. I checked the AMC downtown Chicago and it's dangerously close to full already.

I live in the UK and you can normally go on the day and still get tickets for films. Although I usually always pre book tickets for films but when I do normally so many days in advance you have your choice of seats, but for IT I had to book in between a load of people cause it was already nearly full. I've not seen that happen on a film for a while. I definitely think this film is gonna be huge. I think a lot of people my age who watched the mini series as kids will be flocking to this.
