It really could hit 100M this weekend. I was thinking 70M.

I love when good, R rated horror films can do this.

Everybody keeps suggesting Amy Adams/Jessica Chastian for adult Beverly.

There is another adult female role, "Audra", wife of Bill.

Maybe Amy Adams/Jessica Chastian can play Audra.

I do like the love triangle relationship between
Beverly, Bill and Ben. Maybe they can explore it further in the sequel.

And regarding Henry Bowers,
I guess that he survive the fall into the well after the fight with Mike. That is the last that I saw of him in the movie. I do know that Adult Henry will appear in the sequel, according to the book.

So I see Doug Walker (Nostalgia Critic) didn't like it.

If they follow the path of the novel to the letter (which I think they will), [BLACKOUT]both of those spoiler pieces will resolve as per novel. [/BLACKOUT]

Regarding Stan, I think
he has the least screentime, and least developed loser.

But then, it makes sense, since the adult version of Stan will kill himself, as he is too afraid to face It again.

I guess that's why young Stan didn't have a lot of screentime.

'IT' actually has a better pre-view to OD ratio than Deadpool (3.78>>3.73). This is totally kkkraazzzy.

51 mln on Friday

It made its production budget back in one day.

WB seeing if they can replace Steppenwolf with Pennywise in Justice League.

Really crazy number for It, but not that surprising to me considering how effing packed the theater was last night. My 6:00 showing wasn't that crowded, but holy crap was it when I got out. Honestly, you would think a Star Wars movie had just opened seeing how crowded it was. This is going well over $100M OW and we could seriously be talking about a $300M+ domestic haul.

New characters that I hope to see in the sequel....Adrain Mellon, Don Hagarty,Mr Keene, Tom Rogan, Kay McCall and Audra Denbrough.

And they need to start filming the sequel fast if they needs the kids for "flashback" scenes. Because the kids are growing up and may overgrown their roles for the sequel.

A movie with the cast of unknowns about a killer clown, with R rating and no 3D release is gonna earn more than Justice League. Amazing.

I think the movie itself was clearly so much better than the miniseries. The whole thing was generally of a higher caliber. The acting from the kids especially was noticeably better. Still, I prefer Tim Curry's Pennywise. I think his performance is one of the great horror performances.

I definitely give the edge to the new one, I liked the Stranger Things/Stand By Me vibe that they had going.

Really, I'm just glad we have both the remake and the original, they both have merit, and neither takes away from the other.

It's crazy to see that the budget was so low on this. It looked north of $90 million.

So I see Doug Walker (Nostalgia Critic) didn't like it.

No surprise whatsoever. He's very King Negative. Also a little predictable and too film school-eque in his opinions for my taste (meaning he reminds me of the type of guys i met in film school who liked nothing)

Cast for IT CHAPTER I followed by my fancast for IT CHAPTER II. The ages of the characters in chapter 1 is 13 and chapter 2 is set 27-30 years later so the actors preferably should be or at least look like they are in their early 40s.

I think Jesse Plemons is too young to play Ben. In age, and the fact he looks young.

How about Josh Hartnett? (39)

He has that squinty eye look to him.:yay:

For Stan, I'd go with Matthew Gray Gubler (37 to Scott's 47)

For Mike, Andre Holland (37)

WB was very efficient with the budget so much so that Muschietti didn't get to film extra scenes that he would have liked to add so it would inflate the production budget. WB set the prod. budget at 35 million keeping profits from the DBO and OS markets in mind so there will be a sizable amount of money to gain after the break even point which will allow a bigger budget for the sequel. Warner Bros. probably would have spent more if they had known what a juggernaut 'IT' will become upon release.

This movie is going to play like the horror equivalent of Deadpool IMO. There were so many damn kids at my showing with their parents, but you know what I won't complain since they were actually really well behaved for the most part. It's not entirely crazy to me to think that It might end up acting somewhat like a family film which is going to help it's drops over the weekend.

They don't deserve the success they are getting over there, seriously.

But actually there are several additional scenes that sound great that were shown during test screening. Some of them will be used in the sequel

But why?? If you can elaborate.

They keep interfering with what the directors are doing and messing up the films to small or big extent. And they make horrific decisions there.

I'm still mesmerized by what George Miller manged to do in spite of the studio.
