Teen Can't Take Vegas Showgirl to Prom, Rules Lamestain Principal

ccarc7qbegr7egz0fre5.jpg

Oregon high school student Austin Moore had a simple dream: to take his friend's hot cousin to prom. So, like any plucky 17-year-old, he reached out to the Las Vegas showgirl on Instagram, who agreed to do it for 10,000 retweets, just slightly under the current going rate for stunt prom dates.

Aided by weird adults like former Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous host Robin Leach, Moore started raking in the RTs, but the teen hero soon faced an even greater challenge in the form of principal and John Hughes movie villain Scott Coulter. From KGW:

"All prom guests have to be 19 and under," said Regis High School Principal Scott Coulter.

"Austin's not in trouble," Coulter said. "We just laughed about it and I said this just isn't going to happen."

According to The Oregonian, Moore is taking the ruling in stride, but admits his friends are "pretty bummed."

Don't worry oddly chill teens, a much higher authority—'80s high school movies—stipulates that Coulter's comeuppance is coming soon.

Bronx High School Teacher Busted for Child Porn

danhcaez63a4j8q8qqbx.jpg

On Friday, Jon Cruz, a social studies teacher and debate coach at the Bronx High School of Science, was arrested on child pornography charges, the New York Times reports. According to the criminal complaint, Cruz offered underage boys money to send him nude and otherwise suggestive photos using the messaging app Kik.

The complaint, filed in Federal District Court in Manhattan, alleges that Cruz paid three boys to send him photographs between August 2014 and February of this year, the Times reports. Two of the boys were 15-year-olds from New Mexico; one was a 14-year-old from upstate New York.

According to the New York Post, Cruz allegedly paid one of the boys in New Mexico $1,600 in Visa and American Express gift cards for nude photographs.

Cruz is charged with one count of production of child pornography, one count of receiving child pornography, and one count of possessing child pornography. The Times reports that he appeared in court on Friday but did not enter a plea, and was granted a $1 million personal recognizance bond.

Bronx Science's principal, Jean M. Donahue, wrote to parents on Friday, the Times reports, saying that Cruz "has been reassigned from the school at an alternate location where he will not be in contact with students."

According to his faculty biography—which has been removed from the Bronx High School of Science's website, but is still available here—Cruz taught AP United States Government & Politics with Economics. In 2013, the National Forensic League awarded Cruz the Coach of the Year prize.

NJ Woman Says Man Named "Gooch" Stole Her Car After OkCupid Date

hmtc2rrzahpgzuhaitzm.jpg

At first, it went pretty well, as far as Internet dates with men named "Gooch" go. After meeting at Racks Restaurant and Sports Bar in Atco (sample review: "I guess its cool for Atco"), a New Jersey woman took OkCupid match Gennaro "Gooch" Aladena back to her home.

Once there, however, police say "Gooch" revealed the 15% of himself that was pure enemy, stealing the woman's jewelry and car, WABC-TV reports.

Authorities are still searching for both "Gooch" and the car, a red 2007 Toyota Solara bearing the personalized plates "JSRYGRL" [sic].

According to police, the "Gooch" is bald, approximately 5'9" and may also go by "Mike Rossman," which, lets be real, is a pretty ridiculous name.

The Gooch is on the loose! He must have pretty hardcore drug problem if he does this knowing she knows his freaking name

Florida Officials Banned from Saying "Climate Change," Employees Claim

aljpqavzovop6h3u0ssr.jpg

According to a report published by the Miami Herald on Sunday, officials at Florida's environmental protection agency have been banned from using the terms "climate change" and "global warming" since Republican Governor Rick Scott took office in 2011.

With much of its population living on coastline, Florida is one of the states most threatened by rising sea levels, but former employees of the state's Department of Environmental Protection say they were banned from mentioning it and related climate change topics by name. From the Miami Herald:

DEP officials have been ordered not to use the term "climate change" or "global warming" in any official communications, emails, or reports, according to former DEP employees, consultants, volunteers and records obtained by the Florida Center for Investigative Reporting.

The policy goes beyond semantics and has affected reports, educational efforts and public policy in a department with about 3,200 employees and $1.4 billion budget.

The unwritten policy was reportedly instituted in 2011 when the then newly-elected Scott appointed Herschel Vinyard Jr.—a former Jacksonville shipyard executive—as head of the agency.

"Deputy General Counsel Larry Morgan was giving us a briefing on what to expect with the new secretary," former DEP attorney Christopher Byrd told the Herald, saying he received "a warning to beware of the words global warming, climate change and sea-level rise, and advised us not to use those words in particular."

The unofficial prohibitions resulted in a disturbing doublespeak where "sea-level rise" was referred to as "nuisance flooding" and the term "climate-driven changes" was used instead of "climate change."

According to another former DEP employee, officials who resisted the policy were told "that we are the governor's agency and this is the message from the governor's office. And that is the message we will portray."

Spokespeople for both the DEP and Governor Scott have denied there is any such policy in place. Vinyard and his successor, current DEP chief Scott Steverson, declined to comment when contacted by the Herald.

OU’s SAE Is Going To Wish This Very Racist Video Didn’t Get Leaked
Dillon Cheverere 80 3 hours

A pathetic display of inhumanity was recorded by an occupant aboard what appears to be a chartered bus full of Sigma Alpha Epsilon members from the University of Oklahoma. In the video, an enthusiastic chant is heard that includes the phrase “There will never be a n*gger SAE!” being repeated, followed by “You can hang ‘em from a tree, but they’ll never [inaudible] with me!”

Disgusting. Sad. Pathetic. Shameful. All of it.
Many stereotypes exist for legitimate reasons. Racism running rampant among fraternities is one that is unfortunately alive and well because of people like this. Exposing it brings me pleasure.
Several tipsters have alleged that the removal of the SAE chapter from the university is imminent, but we haven’t yet seen an official word on the matter.
Theyre right though. There wont ever be an African American in SAE as that frat will no longer exist in the very near future. I hope those subhuman pieces of trash on that bus get suspended as well.

Why would African Americans cease to exist in the near future?

I'm pretty sure he means the frat won't exist after they are punished for the vid

Glad ya dig it, there is 2 other parts if you ever get bored

Lol. Yeah after re-reading it, it could go either way, but what DJ posted is what I meant. That frat most likely will be disbanded soon.

Ill edit it to make my point clearer.

Dedicated Hater Has Been Egging an Old Man's House Every Week For a Year

mjxadvp4hdlmtgtuixdf.png

A poor elderly man in Ohio says his house has been mysteriously egged several times a week for the past year and no one—not even the cops—can figure out who is doing it or why.

Eighty-five-year-old Albert Clemens, Sr. tells the Cleveland Advance the mysterious egger's accuracy is "phenomenal."

The house has been pelted with eggs several times a week — sometimes more than once a day — for the past year. The attacks always happen after dark and last around 10 minutes each.

The family has been awoken as late as 2 a.m. by what sounds like the crack of a gunshot against the aluminum siding or front door. Clemens and police believe the eggs are being launched from a block or two away.

Local police reportedly don't have much to go on except a suspicion that, "Somebody is deeply, deeply angry at somebody in that household for some reason" coupled with the knowledge that Clemens has a habit of calling 911 and narcing on his neighbors.

Most leads have turned out to be dead ends—DNA testing of the eggshells reportedly led officers to an Amish farm where the trail suddenly went cold. And pulling their prints is out too—apparently an egg "releases proteins that destroy DNA" when it breaks.

Also the eggers are watching and laughing:

The guilty parties don't appear to be intimidated by police interest in the case. An officer last year was taking a report when a barrage of eggs was launched at the house. One hit him in the foot.

Houser said he's never seen this level of vandalism in his 20 years of police work. It's frustrated the whole department, which has dedicated hundreds of hours toward solving the egging mystery.

Just eggregious.

Dumb Teen Burglars Taste Cremated Remains They Mistook for Cocaine

mnkbry3tycrr0py8vcmp.jpg

In November, three teenagers allegedly broke into a St. Peters, Missouri, home and robbed it of powerful prescription pain killers, cash, various Microsoft electronics, and a wooden box filled with the cremated remains of the homeowner's father, which the teens reportedly mistook for a wooden box filled with cocaine.

After one of the teens "tasted" the powdery remains and realized they were not, in fact, cocaine, the trio tossed the ashes from their car, according to the police report obtained by the Smoking Gun.

lizafp8pzz8naosilkna.png

Devin Gesell, 17, reportedly confessed to the November 22 burglary and told police he served as a lookout while his 15-and 16-year old alleged accomplices broke into the house. Gessell faces several felony charges; his alleged accomplices will be tried as juveniles.

The frat has been disbanded.

The National Chapter condemns the actions.

There were girls on that bus, and you can hear a girl say something on the tape. They should also be investigated as well, as i assume Fraternity's don't let just anybody tag along on their buses, so the girls on the bus were probably from the Fraternity's sister Sorority.

UPDATE: OU Expels Two Students Involved in Racist Frat Chant

mbiqyrg3e4uygsgrojuq.png

The Oklahoma Kappa chapter of Sigma Alpha Epsilon is down two members today after they were caught on video screaming racist lyrics: according to a message from the university's president, he's expelled two of the bros involved.

The tweet from OU prez David Boren singles out two students in "leadership roles," presumably the ones leading the chant of "there will never be a n***** in SAE." I've contacted the university to confirm details of the expulsion, but pending that, here's Boren's statement:

OU senior Bijan Hosseini tweeted this image, which appears to be a copy of the expulsion letter:

Oswald Biographer Challenges O'Reilly's "Reality Deficient" JFK Story

haliwdgrqiadn3nzpy6i.jpg

Today, investigative journalist Edward Jay Epstein disputed a dramatic anecdote from Bill O'Reilly's 2012 book Killing Kennedy, writing a point-by-point refutation of the Fox News host's story titled "O'Reilly's JFK Reporting Was Impossible. I Know Because I Was There."

In the book, O'Reilly claimed to have been standing outside the Florida home where Lee Harvey Oswald associate George de Mohrenschildt killed himself, hearing the gunshot firsthand, an account questioned by the website JFKFacts.org in 2013 and further interrogated by Media Matters last month.

Epstein, however, has unique expertise on the topic as the author of Legend: The Secret World of Lee Harvey Oswald and, by his own account, "the actual—and only—reporter interviewing de Mohrenschildt on the last day of his life in 1977."

Accusing O'Reilly of "reality deficiency disorder," Epstein offered a number of key details that differ from the Killing Kennedy story, including the location of the suicide and the audibility of the gunshot.

Additionally, Epstein pointed to audio tapes that purportedly show O'Reilly was in Dallas on the date of de Mohrenschildt's death, including a phone call where investigator Gaeton Fonzi seems to inform O'Reilly of the suicide.

In the essay, Epstein offers an imaginative theory as to how the Fox News host could have been in both Florida and Texas at once:

In his 2012 account, the inventive O'Reilly may have been emulating the time-traveling investigator Jake Epping, who went back in time to solve the JFK assassination in Stephen King's 2011 best-selling book 11/22/63. Epping in that book used time travel to drop in on George de Mohrenschildt before he killed himself. But of course Epping's feat was pure fiction.

On his show Monday, O'Reilly briefly addressed Epstein's claims, dismissing it as another "far-left attack" on his reporting and pointing to a statement from former colleague Bob Sirkin that—while not directly addressing the gunshot story—states, "It remains preposterous for anyone to claim that O'Reilly and I were not in Florida before, during, and following de Mohrenschildt's death."

http://www.newsweek.com/2015/03/20/...ssible-i-know-because-i-was-there-312336.html

O"Reilly is so full of crap

That kids eating the cremated remains because he thought it was cocaine is hilarious! It also reminds me of that South Park episode where Cartman thinks Kenny's cremated body was chocolate milk mix. "It's not even good chocolate milk mix!" What a buffoon!

Gov. Screw Up Temporarily Legalizes MDMA and Crystal Meth in Ireland

sbbwv5rtm0xwmia2rb1n.jpg

Good news, substance-dependent lads and lasses: For a limited time only, possession of your favorite embarrassing club drugs—including meth, ecstasy and ketamine—is legal in Ireland.

This morning, an Irish court ruled that the country's Misuse of Drugs Act 1977 had been expanded unconstitutionally, a judgement that effectively legalized all but the oldest and lamest grandad drugs like cocaine, marijuana and heroin.

Ireland's Department of Health confirmed that interpretation on Tuesday, saying the previously banned substances "cease to be controlled with immediate effect, and their possession ceases to be an offence."

Irish parliament held an emergency session to outlaw the drugs the right way this time, but even so, the legislation won't go in to effect until Thursday.

UPDATE: Hero Teen Convicted of Spending the $30,000 That Ended up in His Account

l65gow5djxrgo2m0xzwi.jpg

The Georgia teen who heroically blew through tens of thousands of an elderly neighbor's dollars after they were mistakenly deposited in his bank account last March has finally had his sweet run ended by a judge. He's been ordered to serve 10 years probation and pay back the $30,000 he spent.

When the non-f***-giving teen discovered a teller had given the money to him instead of the rightful owner, he reportedly refused to give it back, pretending it was an inheritance from a dead grandmother.

Actually, it belonged to 70-year-old Steven Fields, a man who turned out to live on the same Hull, Madison County, street as the teen and had just deposited the money from a land sale, Fox6Now reports.

Within 10 days, the cheeky, incorrigible youth had allegedly spent $20,000 in cash and another $5,000 on his debit card, buying a BMW and "other things."

He's since been arrested for possessing drugs, Fox 6 reports. It's not clear whether the li'l scamp is alleged to have bought them with the money that fortuitously rained down upon him due to a bank teller's innocent error. If convicted, his probation would turn into some amount of jail time.

"I told that woman up at the bank she should have looked over her mistake that she made if she knew there were three people up there with the same name," Stacey Sorrow, the great role model who raised Hero Teen into the man he is today, told Fox6Now.

"He was excited. I would have been too."

Fields, the victim, said he didn't feel like the freewheeling, Tom Sawyeresque teen felt particularly sorry about what he'd done.

"I don't know if he was or not. It's like when people say, 'I'm sorry.' I feel like they're sorry they got caught," he said, adding that he was just sad that his friend, the bank teller, had been fired over her mistake.

On the bright side, though, a totally deserving teen got a "Bimmer" and allegedly some drugs, so I guess karma is probably real.

Ahh man, gotta give it to the kid. He damn sure tried
