Stupid slang term thread

I really hate the youths over here who try to speak like they are from the ghettos of Hackney or something. They are all over England. "Yea blud you get me?" or "Yea thats nang blud you see dat?" AAARRRGGGGHHHH speak English you little ****s!! I don't mind if they are actually from the slums of east London or something and all they know is that, but when it starts spreading out to the rich, spoilt little bastards it does my head in. I remember when i was younger me and mates used to go to other towns around Essex to cause trouble :hehe: (silly I know! But it was fun!) and there was this one particular town called Shenfield in Essex. This is probably one of the richest, most well off towns in the whole of Britain, yet all the youths there speak like they are from the ghetto. "What you looking at blud?" "Y'see dem? Dis is my town you get me?" I just couldn't help but laugh at them :hehe:

People who actually say "Lawl" or "lol" instead of laughing. If it was that funny then why didn't they actually laugh? Next person who does it in front of me will get head butted.

I use slang sometimes too add humor because I am a completely white geek. So when I say "Ladies and Gentleman, that was off the chain." in my typical white guy voice it's funny. However I can't stand when people use interwebs-speak on a regular basis during normal non-internet speak.

Examples: WTF, OMG, OMFG, LOL, "lawl", etc.

When I did work in college tudoring high schoolers in english I regularly read essays that used this slang and other slang like "u" "r" and "2" and "4". I can't believe that ****.

Yea thats text speak. It has started creeping into actual writing. "ILL C U L8R K M8?" ARRRGGHHHH!!!

Do people still say "what it do"? I haven't heard that one in a while.

"Yeah mean, Yadda mean, Yah mean, Ya knah mean, etc."
"whatcha ma jiggy, whatcha ma call it, thing a ma jiggy, etc."
Using the word hungry in a metaphorocal sense.
Any southern slang except for "Ya'll". I like "ya'll.
"Fish and Chips"
Blah, I could go on forever.

Fish and Chips isn't slang, it is food. What else can you call "Fish and Chips"? Poisson and pomme frittes? :hehe:

"Scene", like, "That's so scene," which is used a lot where I live now (Maryland).

Any quote from Fallout Boy. I can't stand these bands that feel the need to try to make EVERY line a potential one-liner that will show up on every teeny bopper's MySpace.

"MySpacing" or "Facebooking". They're not verbs, they're nouns.

When I went to high school in Alabama, "janking" meant "making fun of". It was pretty much used the same way as "hate". Like, "Why you gotta jank?" or "That dude's jankin'".

And what REALLY got annoying was the other guy on my cheerleading team in college used to say "Jay kay" when he was kidding (for those who don't get it, from the term "j/k" we use online).

Saying, "S/He said," then demonstrating some noise someone makes, like when they hit someone. Like, "He said, *POP*!" when someone slaps someone else.

Lastly, this isn't really slang, but the need to repeat everything and everything someone finds funny. It's mostly the black guys that do it up here in Maryland, but EVERYONE did it in Alabama. For example, someone calls a teacher fat to his or her face, and the annoying guy in class will laugh his ass off and say, "He said, 'You're fat', *insert annoying laughter here*."

I HATE Fall Out Boy. I seriously don't understand a word they say in any of there songs.

Wow I haven't heard of a LOT of these things....

I hate it when people say "Nice kit." And they mean 'Nice Outfit' I don't know why, but it just irritates me!

I am totally guilty of calling shoes 'Nice Kicks' though, so that's just as bad.

The use of "hood" as an adjective, (e.g., "That's so hood.") or "yo" at the end of a sentence.

Kicks is alright, or treads. "New treads mate?"

I'm tired of hearing about how things "fail".

Internet speak/meme's shouldn't be used in real life.

I'm hating the term "neck"

whenever you do something stupid, they say "that's a neck!!11one"

and then they hit you in the neck. :cmad:

So dumb.

I've never heard that in my life. You Americans have some really stupid slang. :hehe:

I don't really get it either, all the kids just started using it, its *****ing annoying.

"Neck"? Dude, that's as bad as my father trying to get the word "sad" to mean "cool" back in the '70s.
