Sublime (Grant Morrison X-Villain)

I was just re-reading Here Comes Tomorrow, and loved it, but I was confused about some things....who/what was 'sublime' exactly?

I THINK he was an age old bacteria, and somehow he was in the drug 'kick', which infused him into the people who took it (as we saw with Magneto/Xorn and Beast), am I right? But I still don't get what his beef with Mutantkind was, and I don't know what his ultimate goal was....
did I miss something? I loved Morrison's run but talk about confusing sometimes...

But I suggest reading Weapon X: Days of Future Now. And maybe some of the other Weapon X arcs with Sublime in them

Tieri made Sublime way way cooler than Morrison did.

They should give us a Weapon X omnibus, with the 5 one shots, the whole series and the Days of Future Now Mini.
