I've had some issues in the last week or so, part of which ended up with me needing to get some medical help, and my internet/cable is still down as well. I'll be back as soon as I can, but for right now, I can't pinpoint anything. Hopefully, since I posted this today, when I get home, it'll already be on [Irony]

I think the 15 minutes threads should be separated from the Community forum. It would be easier to find a certain poster if it had it's own section and it won't clutter up the community.

Also, the funny pics thread and things you hate thread should be moved to the Community Diner IMO.

like a couple have suggested, a "game" or "event" archive would be cool to house them in.

however, there is a link to the 15 Minutes thread in my sig, and the first post is updated with each participant's link once they go up, so i hope that helps for now. there's even a link to the original 15 Minutes incarnation there too.

If those threads were separated from the Community... they would not get anywhere near the amount of traffic that a 15 Minutes thread needs to flourish. We would probably see no more than 40-50 posts in each 15 Min thread... at most.

How active IS the Diner anyway? Does it garner enough traffic for it to even exist or are those threads pretty much stagnant over there? Everything is so divided now... I'm pretty sure that is part of the reason that Community isn't the fun madhouse that it was maybe about 2 or 3 years ago. Let's bring it back together... except for sports and politics... those two places bring in enough traffic on their own to remain independent.

Ever since early November. Gilpesh and Sawyer stopped posting in the lounge for the most part. Ever since then, it's kind of seemed dead to me.

I think the Lounge is part of Community's problem...rather than look at new threads and post, some people only post there. There are some people I enjoy chatting with randomly, but overall the lounge has always been a tad annoying. I think there would be more activity without it.

Overpolicing causes users to be turned off by the site, which draws in users who are more comfortable in a peaceful/boring site with zero drama... and where's the fun in that. Stimulating conversation is stimulating conversation... but what is stimulating conversation without a little heated debate? It's boring... that's what it is.

I know I wasn't here for the better days of the Hype Community but from how Knowsbleed, Bamfer, CC, ATP, Spoons....all of the more veteran members would put it as, those were its glory years, the contests were fun and the discussions in them thrived. I look at all the contests now and well, Hype Idol looks to be dead (Sorry, Bamfer) and same as 15 Minutes With...Threads (Sorry, CC).

You can still have a heated debate while being respectful. If people want to get into arguments where you can openly insult posters and attack them personally perhaps this isn't the site for them.

I think that's a little overly dramatic knows. If someone cannot debate without resorting to personal attacks, that tells me they probably don't know what they're talking about. (Or they cannot handle an opinion opposing their own.)
