If the SUICIDE SQUAD trailer is really set to Bohemian Rhapsody I will laugh and laugh so hard.

@elmayimbe I don't doubt your scoop! I just think their choice is so silly.

@devincf depends on the execution.

Throwing Hooked on a Feeling in your space epic trailer was silly as **** too. I thought his beef was that these movies weren't silly enough?

Bohemian Rhapsody is so utterly insane and awesome in the original Queen version I don't think there really could be a good enough cover to replace it with. It slides perfectly between absolutely nonsensical and funky to melodramatic anthem to orchestral rock. There's nobody who could really equal it.

Agreed.

I imagine the original could work, but so could a cover with a different style. It's not about what's the 'better' version, but rather what works the best for what the trailer's trying to do.

Well could we all agree that we trust that Ayer knows what he's doing.

I mean he's already struck gold with the SS trailer with the Bee's Knees cover.

Prepared for the sheep to post "I thought DC was dark and gritty, why did they make it a comedy. They're copying Marvel" after the trailer drops

This will hurt your feelings Jokes, but I'm afraid I have to say it... I never liked that song and I find that SS cover to make it even more intolerable.

I'm surprised that they still haven't officially released that cover version from the Comic-Con trailer.

Bu...but... that was the basis of my username, even predicting it before the trailer released! :argh: :csad:

What can I tell ya? Life is tough.

I personally would love to see Leto's Joker in his cell singing Bohemian Rhapsody.

This is the only instance when I'd willingly accept to listen Leto's singing. :o

Seriously though, this is great idea.

You know now that i think about it....

What if the end credit scene of the film is a scene in Arkham where the Joker and his band "30 seconds of laughter" rocking it hard with the Arkham inmates. :hmm

I like the general vibe those posters are giving off. Someone else said it but, vibrant but dark tinged seems to sum it up and I hope the film is very much in that vein, as well as being entertainingly stylish. Again, that's the hope.

I wonder if Suicide Squad takes place before or after Batman vs Superman :hmm

That would be me. :cwink:

And, yeah, I hope so as well. Everything so far seems to indicate such style and aesthetic.

These alone look better than the recent stuff coming out of BvS. Can't wait for the trailer.

Oh I don't doubt for moment that come Tuesday, if it's set to Bohemian Rhapsody, some people will make fun of it.
I remember reading responses to the first look that were along the lines of "The SS trailer was like a full on cliché of 'dark and gritty.'"
I imagine part of it had to do with take that particular song and covering it at a slower tempo combined with the darker imagery.
It didn't bother me. I liked the trailer and I like the idea of the new one being set to BR.
But...prepare to argue with people about it.
