it's petty as **** and a total don quixote of usefulness move

To me, RT, and other like that, are pointless. I don't see the need for it.

And yet so many people follow it. It wasn't like that a few years ago. Today, one goes to RT and if the movie is rotten, he/she simply skips it.

What about the trailers, the hype, the waiting? What if they actually liked it? People throw a chance away just like that.. Why? Because a bunch of people, just like us, got the privilege to submit their reviews and make them public for the GA.

And the worst thing is that the bad WOM is simply spreading from people who haven't seen it yet, but only read the reviews.

I sometimes really despise the society we live in. It reminds me of the UK (where I currently reside) leaving the EU. People allowing to be lead by others. But that is entirely another topic.

I don't doubt that the OW will be great, but the quality for the fans will be seen in weekend No.2 - will they see it again, what will they tell their friends, coworkers, acquaintances, family members. Word of mouth.

cancel the dceu, this world dont deserve a DCEU, people cant think with your own brains.

RT has SO MUCH pull on todays general audience. It's crazy! I remember when RT wasn't a thing lol.

here in brazil B V S was a big hit the top 5 of all time, because here people dont give a sh.... about critics.

I'm old. Other than superhero movies, which I will see regardless, I decide like this. I'll see a trailer and think, "That looks like crap" or "That looks cool. I wanna see that"

The petition for bringing down RT has already more than 10,000 votes. Didn't expect it to fill in at such a fast rate.

That's so stupid. RT is a great tool, especially for someone who watches a lot of movies. I don't really get why people keep whining about this. It's so simple, people write reviews, people upload their scores = the score of how many reviewers liked the movie and would recommend it. Reviewers wont stop giving bad movies bad scores whether RT exists or not.

WOM has way more pull than RT. WOM is what dropped BvS' legs faster than a desperate hooker.

If you want to censor something in the great name of DC, censor social media and people's mouths. Not RT.

I said in another thread, I think general audiences may respond better to this then BvS, seems like it will be more digestible and conventionally "fun" CBM, week 2 & 3 will be interesting.

Disagree with critics, or anyone, and engage them in debate. Trying to shut them down is just pathetic. Free speech is something we need to hold onto.

The problem is not disagreeing with them. The problem is agreeing with them without having seen the film.

Rotten Tomatoes even has its score on comcast ondemand lol

Absolutely. The problem with BvS was never the critics, it was people who saw the movie opening weekend and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. Bad movies exist, even ones that fans really look forward to. It's also completely okay to love bad movies, I for one saw Apocalypse three times.

Seeing SS in four hours! No expectations, I'm going in ready for whatever the movie has to offer.

Yes - disagreeing/agreeing comes from actually seeing the movie.

That is incorrect

Come on James Wan make DC great again. I'm telling you guys we got the best characters
Wan director to rule them all!
MoS suffered from piss poor editing IMO.
Most modern blockbusters seem to have poor editing these days.

So many movies have poor scenes transitions and a lack of flow.
man without The Nolan TDK trilogy DC films have been trash and poorly received for better part of 2 decades

BVS - 27%
MOS - 55%
Suicide Squad - 35%
Jonah Hex - 12%
Catwoman - 9%
Steel - 12%
Batman & Robin - 11%
The Losers - 49%
Batman Forever - 40%
Green Lantern - 26%
Constantine - 46%

I bet some folks at WB wish they never booted out Alan Horn who has gone on to have great success at Disney since he took over as studio head in 2012. WB was reasonably successful when Horn was a boss there with WB No. 1 studio in market share for three years.

Well, hell and ****, it's almost as if rushing a movie into production, and making sweeping changes to it when your other rushed-into-production movie doesn't deliver, isn't the way to make a good movie.

Who'd have thunk it?
