Cutting scenes in post is not uncommon. But a lot of things seem to have been cut and added here withe reshoots. Which does make me wonder how much the reaction to BvS effected this film. Not by the general audiences, but by the WB execs who saw BvS before release.

It played a huge deal. In fact I think Faraci was right about a lot of things expect the reshoots for jokes bit.

I think it was to just more it more fun/action instead of the grim and dark movie Ayer made.

They saw the hype for the trailers and the backlash for BvS made them double down on their idea for this movie.

I really don't see what's so bad about the movie. It doesn't have the feel of wanting to be "more than it is." It's a pretty modest kind of film, far closer in tone to Deadpool than to Batman versus Superman. Sure, it was a bit messy at times but it had a fairly long running time. I'm not sure how long it would've been without those apparent cuts. Also I guess I'm in the minority but I actually like having a "director's cut" to look forward to.

Another thing is I think the 3D was very well done, though it's been a while since I watched anything in 3D and there have likely been advances. I didn't get any headaches from it.

Umm i wrote my thoughts on the movie and the post got deleted did I break a rule im not aware of?

It's back up....it was deleted by accident.

Harley's origin was BTAS. The show along with the Arkham games are where she is most well known from. Now while they did play up some sexier aspects with her outfits in the Arkham series, her attitude was more or less in line with her BTAS portrayal.

Most don't read comics, just look at the sales figures, so most probably aren't aware that they have basically turned her into sexpot in the comics as of late.
It was already the case with Harley even in BTAS:

I'm sure I'll like it. Everyone tells me Joker and Harley is good and this is all i care about....times like this it would be a good thing if my website submitted stuff to RT :funny:

Harley Quinn has always been a sexual character ... Just like Catwoman and Poison Ivy.

Look, I love Harley as much as the next fangirl (because she's interesting and overall well-written), but she ain't no role model ... For countless reasons.

The movie runs less then 2 hours without credits.

Anyone hear anything about Purple Lambo video? Thought it was supposed to drop today?
I think so. The video length is about a 1/3 of Leto's screen time in Suicide Squad. So I'm looking forward to it.

Then again it may be like the movie where he's barely in it after so much hype.

What is up with Affleck? He looks like a depressed waxwork figure.

Actually, that's exactly what it is. Affleck didn't actually want to fly to the premiere, so they sent his wax figure from Madame Tussauds and hoped no one could tell the difference.

He still looked more chill today than during Comic Con. i was depressed just looking at him there

To me, he seemed happy with the good reception that he got from the fans. After the abuse he got for DD, as well as the complaints about him being cast as Batman, he seemed to want to make the most out of people being happy with his good performance in BVS. He even said the reaction meant a lot to him and he recorded the crowd.

I did. There are 6 lines. One that only counts if you have seen a NSFW picture from Timm that did not make the show. Two which are obvious, the other 4 are totally vague. Fireworks make me tingly inside? Take the night off and let's play? Come on. :funny:
And if you write Harleen Quinzel, there's another line in another episode.

And there's this also on this page:
In the original comic of "Mad Love", also written by Paul Dini, there is a suggestive line of panels indicating that, after being accepted to Gotham University, Harleen Quinzel compensated for her poor academic work by trading sexual favors to her professors.

I'm just saying that Harley being sexualized started in BTAS where she was created, comic have probably done way worse than a cartoon, but it started there.

(And I got nothing against Harley, I like her, looking forward to see the adaptation in the movie)

Yeah but he was very quiet...also the chemistry between Zack and Conan was off and Conan has chemistry with everyone so I didn't think everything "land" during this panel. SSquad had the best one just going by Smith's fantastic enthusiasm
