Based on earlier reports, I really like the part where Enchantress is the "bio-weapon" that Lex Luthor is after.

I also like the part where Enchantress cause a lot of chaos with her powers during the prison breakout scene near the end.

Working on the script again. Need the best and smoothest draft possible. #writing #SuicideSquad

Someone should take a shot in the dark and ask him "Permawhite Joker?" On Twitter.

Stupid. Dumb. Hate. Awful. Can't words.

This guy gets it.

Yeah, The Old Man would have to smoke some serious ganja the day that Joe as Slade was confirmed. I LOVE Deathstroke as a character, I have been so happy these last ten plus years he's grown in importance not only to DC COMICS but across media, and that he's getting all this exposure and we have been seeing him fairly regularly, both in animated releases and series but also now on ARROW (a show I don't particularly like, but I admit, their version of Deathstroke is pretty good). So... Joe M. as Slade is quite disappointing. After FURY the dream get would have been Pitt, after JOHN WICKE I wouldn't have minded Keanu, I would have accepted even a Jason Statham. All those (yup, EVEN Keanu) have a screen presence and charisma. Joe is a nice guy, he comes of very well as a human being in I interviews and on talk shows, but he not only isn't a great or even particularly good actor he doesn't have the charisma, the "it" factor that would make up for his lack of craft. Arnold, Sly (though he always had stronger chops than the material he made his career on), Statham and now Dave Bautisat... What ever anyone thinks about them as thespians, they have a presence on screen. Deathstroke needs that, and Joe just doesn't even have that.

Now... With that said... It's not the end of the world. I'll live. I certainly aint' gonna pull a FF forum and complain about it ad nauseum for a year until the film comes out. Channing Tatum made a huge turn around as an on screen talent. Perhaps this will be the part for Joe where he starts to turn it around... But I doubt it. We shall see.

Any notable performances by Joe Manganiello (sp ?) other than Magic Mike ?

i'm whatever about Manganiello

he was decent in Sabotage under Ayer. and i would much rather have him than Clarke. that guy is just all sorts of wrong for Deathstroke

I just hope Mangawhatever is actually good, because all I've really seen him do is take his shirt off on Ellen.

DEATHSTROKE IN #SUICIDESQUAD! Deathstroke works with/for #ONSLAUGHT & does their dirty work. He's a hired assassin and he doesn't have any powers like in the comic book. They're going for a pre-super villain Deathstroke. He's a huge part of both of the major set pieces of the film. His introduction is INSANE! He's badass & almost takes the team down on one mission single handed. Deathstroke has THE breakout & choicest role in the film. The running gun battle that sources are describing is something else. His suit is very stealth oriented. They used an actual US military tactical outfit for the basis. He's armed to the teeth, uses a sword and automatics. In concept artwork he has two eyes. The mask is there and it's the iconic one. Rumor about Jason Clarke still in play is not true because he originally got offered Deathstroke months ago but has a scheduling conflict with Marc Foster's' 'All I See Is You.' Joel Kinnaman originally tested for the role as well but got Rick Flagg instead. Joe Manganiello has a scheduling conflict with Ryan Murphy's 'Scream Queens' BUT HE JUST DROPPED OUT! What does that mean? Deathstroke is 'probably' his. Tune in tomorrow for more scoopage!

If Deathstroke does indeed have the best role, the break out role, I'm going to need an immediate low budget R rated spin off directed by gareth evans, which leads into the cyborg aka teen titans movie, please and thank you.

My feelings toward El Maybe aside, I'd like this to be true.

I may not like his line of "scoopage", but damn I hope Eh Maybe is right on this one. The action scene screams "David Ayer."

Wait... Didn't Ayer just tweet a few days ago that he's still in writing/re-writing phase of things? Yet, El May is making like there's a finished script with details of specific action scenes? Could someone with more knowledge of the film industries inner workings (put out the roach signal) to give me a more valid way to judge this?

I don't think he's doing major re writes more likely at this stage a line or two here and there. Maybe changing a couple of things around.

Always wished that Kiefer Sutherland played Deathstroke. Oh well

I would assume script revisions at this point would be more for dialogue-related scenes. Action sequences need to be budgeted and scheduled out during pre-production and would probably need to be locked down by now.
