Suicide Squad: General Discussion and Speculation - Part 3

Wait... you seriously WANT that to happen? I thought you were just making a prediction neutrally.

Ahem... My young friend I have the capacity to appreciate ALL sorts of music, as the selection in the Suicide Songs thread should illustrate. I've suggested everything from AC/DC, RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE, BJORK, ERIK B., THE FACES, CYPRESS HILL, and ROBERT PALMER. One type of music in my opinion wouldn't A. Appeal to the entirety of the WIDER AUDIENCE which we hope all aspects of the film actually DOES, since that is the actual path to a franchise's success. B. Only one kind of music won't actually FIT every scene or character. If you live and breathe New Metal, kudos for you. Others, the majority of others mind you, may not share your affinity for the genre.

Finally... hate all you want... Smith is talented and he knows how to make a hit. My feelings on his music are kind of inconsequential to that as fact given his career. Just some things to think about.

I have a feeling Leto is going to want to capitalize on the film too, TNN22. Call it a hunch, but I think Leto is feeling the way RDJ was prior to IM. RDJ WANTED to have that franchise that was popular and a moneymaker, something to REALLY make him a household name. Leto, who despite his look, is no spring chicken, may want feel the same way. Yeah, he's got an Oscar, but most don't know who he is compared to some other less talented names. This is a really popcorn type of role in that it's gonna get HUGE exposure. I could see Leto leveraging that for his career both in film and as a musician. Doing a song for the soundtrack is a Win-Win in my book.

For people who like to crap on 30 Seconds To Mars, I have but one suggestion: listen to "Stranger in a Strange Land".

It feels like a bit of a 90's move, but I could see Leto making it work.

Will Smith need's to write a piece of music for a scene in the movie. Would be cool.

I did.

I am not sure what it has to do with 30 Seconds to Mars though. :oldrazz:

I'm not a fan of 30StM, but they have many songs better than this one imo

Corey Taylor has to be in this movie some how if Slipknot is going to be in this movie, right?

So he is going to get punked by Captain Boomerang into killing himself five minutes into the mission like in the comics :cwink:

I was actually hoping Slipknot would be in this movie JUST for that scene alone. :o

So Scott Eastwood is playing gender-bent Killer Frost? I'm...okay with that. :o
