The worst was when
Harley takes Enchantress's heart and then Flagg grabs Deadshot and yells "Her hearts out! Now's our chance!" Or whatever so ridiculously stating the obvious lol. Seems like a reshoot scene they weren't even trying for and just wanted to get it done

And Harley's line about how Joker died was obviously from the reshoot. Joker was present for the final fight in the original cut so she wouldn't have a reason to think he died in the helicopter crash.

Pretty sure JMC was referring the $130m "goal" it might fall short of if that number is accurate, and that is indeed the domestic opening weekend. Maybe dial back the attitude.

Okie dokie.

I want it to go up to $140 m

But it most likely will fall $120's m

I did like that moment
Where she was on top of the car and that transition between super sad to trying to put the happy facade. Great performance overall.

Oh! And Deadshot on top of the car doing his Deadshot things. I love it. One of my favorite parts in the movie. Very superhero like.

I loved this film every character was on point the actors did amazing with the material they were given. I'm not feeling Jared's take on the Joker but I want to see him further down the road. The plot was basic but hopefully they can turn it around in future installments. I LOVED LOVED Harley Quinn‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️ Kudos to Margot Robbie she really embodied the role. And I liked how batman and flash were tied in to establish the DCU

I especially liked the expressions of awe in surrounding characters faces, just like in the shooting gallery, where they realise just HOW good the guy is.

Will Smith brought it. Can't wait for Batman v Deadshot Round II.

I can see them teaming up.

Oh and that moment when

He fires up a pistol to the sky for the first time in how many months and smells the gun. Like this guy really loves his gun. Man I love Will Smith in this movie.

While I probably didn't like it quite as much as you, I rather enjoyed it. Interesting observation about Leto's (a very fine actor) Joker. One of the first things my wife said was "I don't like his Joker as much as Jack's". I replied "Or Heath's".

Folks, go to the movies. Have some fun. Stay away from POOformers. :cwink:

EDIT: Oh yeah. As far as the BO goes, I don't care whether it breaks 130, 140 or whatever. It was an entertaining movie and think it will do just fine. It has a pretty nice corridor in the upcoming weeks and, for maybe the first time, I may go see a DC movie again (EDIT2: I forgot, I saw Batman Begins twice and TDK at least that many times). Prolly not, but if someone I like wants to go, I'd definitely go again. Hopefully DC is getting on track. I'm rooting for WW and JL (and, yes, I'm primarily a MCU guy).

So, I went to see SS last night and thought it was pretty good. Substantially better than MoS or BvS. The movie had a very difficult task in front of it. Other than the Joker (whose character I found disappointing), virtually everyone who wasn't just a cameo (Batman) needed to be introduced. Given how many characters were in the movie, that limited it. Still, I got enough of who they were to "get it".

All of that being said, the movie did not drag nor was it deep (groan) and edgy (yet more groans). So for those of you who need gritty, deep, and edgy, feel free to stay home. It's clear to me that what they tried was a bit of a GotG formula. It wasn't as good as GotG, but both my wife and I found it entertaining and pretty funny. Harley clearly had all the best lines.

Do what I did; have tacos and spicy wings before, hit the movie theater concession (preferably the bar in my case), grab a beverage of your choice, sit back, and allow yourself to have some fun. 3 3/4 stars. Joe Bob says check it out.

If Batman teams up with Deadshot before Robin, Nightwing or Oracle/Batgirl then this franchise really doesn't know what's good for it.

Keep Smith in Squad. He's too much of a good guy now to cause any major trouble in Gotham and Batman has more crucial people to team up with who are very in need of an introduction.

But it seems appropriate for deadshot doesn't it? He's a gun for hire with a dark past. He's not the joker

To team up with the guy who doesn't use bullets as first hand weapons? Batman put him in jail and doesn't need another pair of hand guns. I think Batman teaming up with Tim drake, Barbra Gordon or Dick Grayson makes a bit more sense...or even Selina Kyle.

Hey man. Dream on. The Batfamily will come later. Perhaps much later. We've got Deadshot. Let's use him.

Who gives a s*** about Tim Drake? Eventually we'll get them. Don't worry child. I

I think this Batman/Deadshot team up talk is based on that early rumor about the solo Batman movie being inspired by The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly with Deadshot as the ugly.

Ugh Deadshot is rumored to be in the Batman solo? What happened to the Jason Todd rumor?

Who gives a **** about Robin? I do...and Jason Todd, and Dick Grayson and Babs.

Todd is already dead, they are in this universe and we have yet to see them. They are far more crucial to the Bat narrative then Deadshot. Deadshots IP is Suicide Squad. Keep him there, let Smith lead. No need to take the spot of others.

I honestly don't see a The Good, the Bad and the Ugly style relationship with Batman and Deadshot after Suicide Squad. Sure Tuco was going to kill Blondie by walk miles across the desert but they did have a bit of a friendly relationship at the beginning. There is nothing friendly between Deadshot and Batman in Suicide Squad.

My point is, it doesn't NOT make sense for the two to form a bond. Floyd is a good man deep down and I'm sure Bruce knows this. If he feel he can redeem him from a dark path he should try.

Yeah. But I think the kid thing with Deadshot puts him in a different category with Batman. They probably hate each other- one doesn't use guns (in this case) and the other is pro-gun.

I don't know when that scene took place, but this was when Batman wasn't going around branding people. I think if they had to team up, it would be in epic proportions... first they have to fight.

He kills people for money. Batman won't cut him slack until he stops that, which is when Deadshot becomes boring. Even then he would still put him in jail.

The rumor is from December of last year and it came from Latino Review.

He kills people for money.

And he shot the bomb thing when his faux-daughter told him not to.

He's got a heart, but Floyd is still a bad guy. He might not be all bad, but he definitely loves killing. They'll never be friends, but if the situation permits, I'd love to see Batman and Deadshot go up stairs together blowing up s*** all over the place.

I'm going to see it a second time tomorrow. Now that I've let it sit for a few days, I find myself increasingly more frustrated at what this movie could have been and was so close to being. It had all the makings of a GREAT movie and they completely destroyed it. Has a movie ever been edited so poorly in the history of major blockbusters? like ever?

So do you feel an ultimate cut would make this a GREAT movie? Or were there problems that cant be fixed in that way
