Leto says he shot enough footage for an entire Joker movie. I don't care what Ayer says, WB NEEDS to release an alternate cut of this movie with more footage. I will gladly pay for the blu ray if they do that and so will a lot of other people who are on the fence, I imagine.

Yeah there is no Kevin Feige-type who oversees all of the DC films. There's several people, who all have input, and the chain of command is muddled.

Also add me to the list of those who found Enchantress's posing/dancing goofy. IDK if it was meant to creepy, or sexy/alluring, or whatever. But it was none of those things, it was just ridiculous (and not in a good way).

I thought it was supposed to be hilarious. It got a lot of laughter in the theater. Was I reading that wrong? :cwink:

I really would love a Blu Ray cut of the original film he wanted to do. With all the footage where it should be. Sadly, I don't expect it to happen. Which is a shame as they seem to have a lot between Harley and Joker shot that's just going to gather dust because they chose to focus more on Will Smith.

I just got out of my showing. Packed house!!! I honestly enjoyed the movie a lot, it was fun, the jokes were funny and this movie made me want to see more of the magical side of the DCU. Enchantress and Diablo had amazing powers!! I want to thank WB and DC for giving me a super fun movie that not only I enjoyed but my family as well!!!

It's definitely my favorite DCEU movie hands down and it's definitely one of my favorite superhero (villain?) movie in recent memory. It gets a solid 8/10 in my view and I can't wait for more!!

Ill post more later because right now I'm on my phone...

Probably going to try and see it one more time before it's out of theaters.

I agree with the above, I'd love an ultimate cut of Suicide Squad. They'd make bank on it, if they called it "Joker/Haha Edition" or something. But... it's wishful thinking.

Glad you enjoyed it.

Its SUCH a no brainer. The Blu Ray would sell gangbusters if they released a "Joker Edition." Plus, all everyone's talking about is what didn't make the cut of the movie.

Please, WB, just DO IT!

Watched it today and thought it was okay, at best. Did not care for the Joker at all and felt the film would have been better with less of him. Liked Captain Boomerang the most and thought Deadshot, Harley, and El Diablo, Amanda Waller, Rick Flag were solid. The actors were good, but the material they were given could have been better. I did not mind the enchantress and thought she was way better than Lex Luthor but wished she would have been developed as a character more. I was really hoping to get more on Katana because I liked her on Beware the Batman but there really was not much to her representation. Killer Croc and Slipknot were barely there as well. The editing in this film was incredibly sloppy and I was disappointed with Batman's and Flash's small cameos, and shocked how short the batmobile chase was. I really hope this film gets an extended edition which adds scenes towards every character except the Joker.

I think it should be called the Director's Cut or the Extended Edition. More scenes got cut from the movie than just the Joker's.

Will DC have to release a bunch of "Extended Cuts" on DVD to get people to truly enjoy these movies?

I think, honestly, announcing an Extended edition this week would slightly turn the dialogue around this movie more favorably and it would give a lot of people something to look forward to on the home video release. Since Ayer is not likely going to be involved, I don't think they'll call it the Director's Cut. It would be called the "Extended Edition."

Yeah. Given the positive responses the BvS UC has received, and the fact that a LOT of people want to see what didn't make the final cut of this movie, WB would be really stupid not to do it.

As much as I'd like to see those scenes, I don't think it would be a good thing for WB to make a habit out of butchering the film in post and then releasing longer cut on Blu-Ray.

I'd rather if they don't release such cut this time around and make sure they keep their fat, corporate asses away from the editing room in the future.

Instead of making a petition to shut down RT someone should have made a petition for requesting the White House to kick the WB suits out of the editing room and make Geoff Johns God.

And announcing an R rated blu ray in 4 weeks would be the smart play, we fans who are abused by the WB suits are going to eat it up and give them our $$$, it won't hurt the b.o since it's announced later, and they could say it's R so we couldn't release it in theaters, but due to fan demand of the R version, we are giving people what they want :cwink:

Man, if they have at least 30,40 or more minutes of their backstory footage that was unused, DC should dish out, idk 40-50 million and just do some additional photography and just fork out Mad Love off the cuff.

Oh... I'd kick out Geoff Johns as well. :oldrazz:

That's an idea. Maybe on the Blu Ray, they release the footage as a "Mad Love" short film as a companion to the main feature. I'd pay for that!

I think a ultimate cut for Suicide Squad will be more in demand that the one for BvS.

Agree. Releasing extended editions all the time is a bad business practice. People will eventually stop going to the theaters and wait for the extended version. I for one do not like paying twice for something when the first purchase is defective.

lol but I'm sure he's not the one who messed with Ayer's first act of the movie, or telling Zack to chop Sup/Lois/African subplot out of BvS, they can kick him out when WW gets 25% RT and 70% audience score.

The Joker's Edition... I dig that title...
