Speaking of the August slot first weekend of August 2017 is taken by 200M-budget Alien: Covenant. But as August is proven more profitable it'll get more crowded too. August 2018 is taken by a Disney live-action movie (probably A Wrinkle in Time or Cruella) and a Universal Event movie a week later, so a movie can no longer have a whole August for itself.

The movie slots for DCEU in 2017 and 2018 are pretty much set in stone now.

WW - June 2017 and JL - November 2017.

The Flash - March 2018 (subject to change), Aquaman - July 2018 and hopefully the Batfleck solo - October 2018.

Now 2019 is an interesting year, Shazam will be produced by the New Line and released in April 2019.

That leaves two more DCEU movies to come out that year and the slots taken up by WB are in June and November. I think the June date is flexible and if Suicide Squad 2 or JL: Dark is fast tracked then either could snag an August release date, which would be awesome.

And WB has Aquaman out July 28th 2018.

I think WB should move Wonder Woman to August 11th 2017 or even July 28th if the Jumanji rebootquel doesn't meet its planned release date. It's in a kill spot right now.

Finally we now have some unofficial announcement about a spin-off. Probably it'll come right after The Flash.

Edit:

2018:
March 16: The Flash
July 27: Aquaman
October 5: Untitled DC/Warner Bros. film

Could it be...?

Could it be...?

I'm thinking more like this

2018
March - Flash
July - Harley Quinn
Oct - Aquaman

2019
(Shazam)
June - JL - to postpone and change to....
July - Batman
Nov - JL Dark

2020
April - Titans - (Cyborg movie with Nightwing and Batgirl)
July - (ditch GLC for)...Wonder Woman 2
Oct/Nov - SS2 - Deadshot, or something.

-----------------------------------------------------

"2nd phase" or movies that get developed seriously post 2018.

2021
March - MOS2
July - Flash 2
Oct - Aquaman 2

2022
July - Batman 2
Oct - SS3/Harley/Birds of Prey or Sirens spin off

Personally I think a franchise has a hot period of 6 years in the modern age and no more than 3 years in between sequels, so I would get the SS franchise going and release every 2 years, and since it has variety - Deadshot, Harley, BOP etc, it should be able to get 4+ movies and stretch it out to 8 years, and when it's done or running out of steam then I'd look at getting fresh stuff like GLC, Booster Gold or JL sequels in there.

Update: http://heroichollywood.com/henry-cavills-manager-confirms-man-steel-2-development/

Ok maybe they can squeeze Henry in 2019 since Shazam is not made by WB.

I think Batman is 2018, they already teased and confirmed Deathstroke in video and confirmed the actor. Harley Q movie doesn't sound like it's even really started writing yet.

Mark Hughes said WB is still shooting for 2018, but I guess if Ben wants to do the Agatha project before jumping onto Bat then it will be 2019, otherwise he would be spending 2.5 years doing Batman.

HQ has already got a writer and script is been written up, according to news before SS release.

WB is not developing all these different movies but have no release date in sight for most of them.
They should definitely release a new updated movie slate

Flash and Aquaman are going to happen but everything after that is probably being reworked to fit in stuff.

I think the date for the Justice League sequel could become Suicide Squad 2

I've been absent from this board for a while. Have we heard at this point exactly how different the test screening cuts were and what exactly was reshot?
Obviously the Waller dinner sequence was redone, and presumably a lot of the Enchantress stuff, but whats the word on that?

There has been no official or unnoficial word of JL 2 being delayed, its pure conjecture from fans.

it's shame they got only 2 DCEU movies in 2017. i want 3 each year :csad:

So we're not getting JL2?

We're not getting JLA Part 2. It could still get a sequel eventually, but effectively the automatic sequel got cancelled. Which is a smart move, especially since they did it when they could mostly still claim it was "the plan all along". Now they aren't locked into doing a Part 2 even if Part 1 is a flop.

To be perfectly honest I have zero interest in Justice League, just as I had zero interest in the Avengers (and still think they are bad movies.) The entire concept of the "almighty superhero squad" pulled together out off an entire comics universe just feels clogged and plotty to me; a gratutious fanboy fantasy. Exceptions are X-men and Fantastic Four because those characters have common ground, common origin, common problems and common purpose. Even Suicide Squad is a much better concept. I'm watching a scene with "Batman teams up with Aquaman" and I just think "what contrived crap."

Suicide Squad:

Domestic - $310,252,332
Foreign - $399,300,000
WW total - $709,552,332

Subtracting the 6.6 million SS made in Japan in it's OW there, the overseas gross for the week will be at (399.3-375.5)-6.6=17.2 million.

Last week it was 22 million, so the drop is just 27.9%. That is absolutely incredible. :woot::woot:

SS is well on course for 735 million+ final figure now. :chd:

The domestic is way past my expectations when this film was announced.

I love that dancing thing...

:chd: so cute...

SS is poised to gross close to 318 million domestic markets and it's at 400 million in international markets as of now. 18 million is easily attainable from now to the end Skwad's theatrical run and add a minimum of 9 million from Japan and that'll bring the WW total at 318+400+18+9=745 million.

I'd say with the way it's performing right now, 750 million may not be out of reach after all. :woot:
