Perhaps many members of the Squad aren't incarcerated at first? Maybe Checkmate (if that is a Checkmate Knight) bring in the Sqad and then they are given the deal to be on TaskForce X by Waller? If that is the same place we see Lawton and his daughter I could see him surrendering for her safety's sake. Just theorizing.

and whether its a flashback or not, the scene with deadshot and his daughter i'm guessing takes place early in the film. if affleck is somehow involved in that scene, which seems likely, unless the same location pops up again for whatever reason and he was filming a completely different part of the movie last night, it seems promising for batman to have a role similar to aoa imho
