I don't see how that is at all like The Dark Knight Returns Joker.

The slicked back hair bleached skin and lipstick with no exaggerated lines on the side of the mouth, and the suit looks similar.

His skin seems to be more white than it appeared on official photo.

And I just wish they've given him fake nose to make him closer to the comic book Joker, as he's otherwise facially spot-on.

There's a clip of her disguised as a police officer, there was also a Youtube clip of her dressed as a lawyer and she looked similar to how she does in that set photo. Can't find it though, it is a pretty funny scene between her and Bullock.

That's another way that Joker resembles Dark Knight Returns Joker. He doesn't have the long nose or chin similarly to how he is in Dark Knight Returns. They look very similar facially.

Bleached skin and red lips is basically ever joker ever, the suit doesn't really look similar I mean maybe kind of but not really and tdkr joker didn't really have unique joker hair at all, I wouldn't consider that slicked back.

I really dislike the character and do feel she's both annoying and unnecessary. Joker did not need his own "Robin". I have been somewhat baffled by her popularity as I really dislike just about everything about the character.

But... they use her so I might as well enjoy the ride.

agree completely. people are really stretching to draw comparisons to the dkr joker. yeah, they both wear suits... and dkr did not have slicked back hair.
