Bottom line for me is this..... if it keeps it on the air, move....move....move.
Well yes, quite agree. But people need to know that a drop in budget and/or a move to a new city means more than just fewer special effects and different buildings in the background.

Btw, for the curious, here's a list of Supergirl filming locations that appear in the above blog entry photos...
Bugs and Daffy statues, above the text "I believe there are three main studios to tour..." :
This is the CatCo building exterior, at sidewalk level (the wide shots use a skyscraper down town.) It was used for the scene where Supergirl throws Cat Grant from the balcony in
Falling, and when she rescues James and Winn (but not Kelly) in
Myriad. An area just a few yards to the left of the photo was where Adam and Kara kissed in
Bizarro.
Looking down the street towards a narrow alley, above the text "Usually in a scene filmed on a backlot..." :
The alley in the distance was where Winn and James meet up with Supergirl for the famous "HE KNOWS?!?" moment in
Stronger Together. It was also used for some shots of
Worlds Finest that never made it into the episode (but appeared in a few promos.)
The three storey buildings and with shop fronts, below the text "I will talk more about sets a little later in this blog." :
This area was used for the showdown with Livewire in the episode of that name. Some of the shop fronts with their stripy canopies can be seen in the background during the fight.
The grand building with columns and steps, above the text "New York Street lost some of its fame for me after "ER" ended..." :
This was used for the bank robbery in the Pilot ("Are you bullet proof?") and again for the bank robbery at the start of
Manhunter. It is literally just yards away from the shop front where Cat Grant waited for her first showdown with Livewire. (It was, famously, also Gotham City Police HQ in the Adam West Batman series.)
EDIT:
The street of town houses with steps, above the text "The other side of the street is the Warner Theater. " :
Okay, this wasn't a filming location, but it was where the famous photo shoot happened with Grant, Melissa, and Greg for Variety magazine. The photo of the curved theatre entrance below the text was where Supergirl was preview screened for school girls (it's a real cinema inside) just a couple of weeks before SD Comic Con, and Melissa signed everyone's cape outside.
The pics of dense trees, below the text "One last main backlot location is simply called The Jungle." :
This was used for Peru in
Manhunter, and for Master Jailer's cabin in
Truth, Justice... .
The cyan building, below the text "The main one is called The Bridge Building. Lots of productions use this building and I bet you will recognize it from my pictures. " :
The outside was used as a National City Airport terminal in
How Does She Do It?, and the inside reception area was Adam Foster's hotel lobby in
Strange Visitor... . Interestingly, it is opposite the car park, transformed via CGI into a skyscraper, that Kara saved from Max Lord's bomb in
How Does She Do It?
So now you know.
