I've see far, FAR worse pairings out there FC.... some that would haunt your dreams.

Saw something over on Reddit that was apparently from an interview with Melissa where she admitted she'd like to see Kara have some alone time (Not that sort.... ) next season. no relationship silliness at all. just Kara being Kara. hopefully TPTB agree.

Lilian Luthor herself Brenda Strong has posted this picture of her with some of the cast, including David harewood, Melissa Benoist of course and Kate McGrath on Instagram...

Tune in this Monday for an awesome new episode of @supergirlcw with this crazy talented cast! #theluthors @davidharewood @melissabenoist #thegreatkatemcgrath

Now, I seem to notice that Mel B and Katie McG...their eyes are red. I think Brenda's camera must not have had the red eye filter turned on. and as for Brenda, she sure is a TALL drink of water.

I would concur...to the solo time. I mean on The Flash Barry has Iris to worry about and Arrow has Oliver dealing with...well let's just say Olicity is dead. Let Supergirl break the mold a little bit. Besides, on Wonder Woman TPTB back in the day never had Diana romantically linked with Steve.

Have to say I'm really liking the interactions between Kara and Mon-el. It's hit all the points from openly hostile to genuinely touching, and I would never describe his acting as 'wooden.'
Except for this last ep where they 'missed' their moment, I think it's been handled just as well as Alex and Maggie. Just as long as the writers don't seriously start playing games with the scenario, I think it could turn out very well.
And hopefully something that will last far longer than half the remaining season. I personally hate the love-interest-every-season-scenario. I call it the Bond-Effect. I want Mon-El to have a nice long run on Supergirl. With Supergirl...:wow:

So at first I thought the musical crossover was going to have a retro sequence, but now as more set pics come out, I'm thinking the majority of the episode is gonna have a retro (1940's-ish?) period setting. Huh.

What set pics the one with Jeremy? I have seen none of Melissa.

Not the indoor selfies. There's apparently an outdoor car chase too: http://screenrant.com/flash-supergirl-musical-crossover-set-photos/

Plus, a rumor that Kara and Barry had new super-suits made for the ep. Just seems like it's gonna be more than just one song/sequence, imo.

Interesting that they will be in the 1940's, are the LoT somehow involved? That setting may also influence the new costume Melissa has, perhaps something influenced by the Bombshells line.

I mean, I think I heard Victor Garber was participating, but they've never mentioned this being a 3-way crossover before, and if the LoT were involved in such a big way as to contribute a time-travel element as well, I feel like they would milk that in the interviews/promo they've done about it. So I have a feeling the setting is just due to the Music Meister's hypnosis or whatever. Anyone who hears his voice falls under his "spell" and he makes them believe themselves to be living in a musical, so maybe this is just what their musical world looks like. It will probably seem like a dream or something.

so the whole episode is some sort of dream/fantasy sequence? that could work I guess.

1940's? I heard it was the 1920's. Well if it IS the 1940's I would like that more than the 20's.

1) Superman was already created and had a radio show (77th anniversary today), and the beloved Fleischer/Famous Parmount cartoons.

2) Radio was the hot thing with the aforementioned Superman radio program, The Shadow, Lone Ranger, Green Hornet for adventure, and Bob Hope, Jack Benny, and Fibber McGee and Molly for comedy and The Shadow for mystery. I love old time radio and listen to it myself. I just LOVE nostalgia.

3) It's one of my favorite eras. America's great war win in WWII and films like Casablanca came out.

4) There were female singers in the 40's; Connie Haines, Carole Landis and the World War II darling Frances Langford. And of course, before Fifth Harmony, TLC, The Spice Girls, The Go-Go's, The Bangles or The Supremes, there was The Andrews Sisters (Patty Maxine, Laverne) singing about the Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy of Company "B."

That setting may also influence the new costume Melissa has, perhaps something influenced by the Bombshells line.

And the Bombshells comic book line is one of DC's most popular. I love the sexy pin-up vibe from this series, with Supergirl of course my favorite. But they also have Wonder Woman, Batgirl, Vixen, Hawkgirl, Catwoman, Star Girl, Poison Ivy and even Harley Quinn among others.

Well, those cars are the 40's in that picture.

I figured as much Kelly. Cars in the 20's were more the Henry Ford model T's. Those rides in that picture look SA-WEET!

I was just looking through a list of Superman Villains and stumbled upon the Galactic Golem, who I think they might use as some sort of robot tasked with capturing Mon-El.

Well that will be interesting...

Teri Hatcher is finally on her way to film Supergirl and apparently this is her first time in Vancouver. She also revealed that the hair/makeup team requested that her nails be red.

Huh, I guess she filmed her Smallville cameo in LA. Surprised an actress who's been working as long as she has has never filmed in Vancouver before.

Just got back from WalMart....they had Season one SUPERGIRL DVDs on sale for $14.96 (as well as various other of the CW Superhero series for that price).

Yep...it's now clear out stock time to get ready for the Season 2 DVD's... :)

I helped them clear it out because I bought SUPERGIRL season one, ARROW season four, FLASH season two, and LEGENDS OF TOMORROW season one.

Excellent...

No love for The Flash (1990)? I see that for $10-15 dollars every time I go to Walmart.

speaking of Walmart, I just picked up a "double pack" of Smallville Seasons 1 and 2 for $20!!!

It's great to rewatch Smallville, as I never watched all of the seasons and eps, and these early eps I barely remember.
