We have nothing to do with that...they don't let us out of the asylum. :cwink:

Interesting its mid break only be 2 weeks. I would have thought it be at least a month like most series do.

Such a legendary scene. :hmr:
:wowe:

I wonder if it will return to the UK the same week. Sky1 have been plugging the 3 days after US thing all season so I hope that remains.

How do you read the crossed out text? I see people respond to posts that has the blocked text but I don't see a way to clear it ? Maybe because I'm reading via phone??

Typically, you "highlight" the text (as if doing a cut-and-paste). The change in color allows you to see "underneath" the black. Don't know about possible limitations with a phone.

On a phone you can't, you have to quote it then you can read it

ya we likely will have another gap probably around episode 15 or 16 for a few weeks. Though its nice it wont be a long break. Personally i like when mid breaks are a month month and a half. Any longer is torture lol.

From the interview with the Martian himself, David Harewood:

ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: Did you know from the beginning that Hank was actually J’onn J’onzz?

DAVID HAREWOOD: No, I didn’t. I had no idea. After the pilot was picked up, my manager told me that they were changing my character. That’s as much as they’d tell me. I was intrigued by that. I didn’t quite know what that meant. When I came to shoot the series, they still didn’t tell me. I did the whole of Comic-Con just lying through my teeth. I didn’t know what I was talking about. They told me about a week after Comic-Con. They presented me with a little Martian Manhunter doll and several comic books of Martian Manhunter. I went home and devoured them. I thought they were just fantastic. I was delighted.

I must say, I was struggling with Hank Henshaw. I didn’t particularly enjoy the pilot. For me, it was a lot of exposition. I just couldn’t find an angle that was interesting with Hank Henshaw. He was all, “I don’t like aliens, I don’t like Kara.” It was all a bit too one-dimensional to me. So I was delighted that they gave me this guy to play. He’s just so fantastical and it’s such a wonderful backstory and history. It just gave me so much more to play.

Will we get any flashbacks to Mars and see how J’onn ended up on Earth?

You won’t see how he ended up on Earth, but you will see flashbacks to his family, to how they died, which was a very emotional episode for me. It was around the same time as those terrible attacks in Paris. It was just emotional, the idea that people want to kill others. In our story, and it’s in the comic books, there are two Martian races — there are the Green Martians, which J’onn is a member of, and there are the White Martians. The White Martians exist purely to kill Green Martians. They burn them. They literally put them in furnaces. Playing that on the day was really emotional for me to think that we live on a planet where we kill each other. It was wonderful playing that with Chyler. Hopefully that will be another great episode. J’onn feels deeply that he’s the last Martian. He’s the last of his kind, the only Green Martian left in history.

Hank is the last of his kind, but will he have to face any ghosts from his past down the line? Maybe prisoners from Fort Rozz?

Yes, absolutely. There’s a White Martian that turns up that wants to kill him. He’s ready to give his life. There are a whole litany of guys that J’onn wants to take out, that’s why he’s called a Manhunter. He doesn’t necessarily kill humans. He wants to protect humans and wants to kill anything out there that threatens humanity.

Thank goodness they made the change, Martian Manhunter is a more compelling character than Hank Henshaw, now things are more interesting and makes the show better with the new dynamic between "Hank", Alex and Kara. The episode was one of the best so far, but they should stop the Kara-Jimmy-Lucy-Wynn angst, Berlanti & co have done a very poor job with their relationship dramas on Arrow and The Flash, they should know better by now, but they're still making the same mistakes on Arrow (again!) so...

If WB wants this show to last longer, they should let them use Superman sans restrictions, cause with Kara and Martian Manhunter, they already have a mini-JL, just add another female like Star Girl, other recurring members and voilà!! They could do a couple of JL episodes per season, it could be their big event, this way they don't have to depend on crossovers with the CW, more difficult to do like TPTB have acknowledged:

Andrew Kreisberg: "But right now there is no legitimate actual plan to bring [The Flash's] Cisco [Carlos Valdes] onto Supergirl or to bring [Supergirl's] Winn [Jeremy Jordan] onto Legends [of Tomorrow]. First of all, we don’t even know if we could, legally. And quite frankly, just making the Arrow-verse, which is what we call Legends, Flash and Arrow work and then making Supergirl work, it's enough of a challenge without having to add a fourth player."

Does anyone think they will show more of Hank in his green MM form or will we get to keep seeing him in disguise? Probably the latter.

The producers made the decision to make Henshaw ans J'onn J'onzz one and the same character WHILE they were filming the Pilot, but didn't tell David until much later.

There's nothing wrong with what they're doing with James/Kara/Winn/Lucy.

There's been zero indication that Superman is off-limits to them, regardless of what some posters here believe, and numerous reasons to be convinced that they're using Superman the way that they are by choice.

Re: an Arrow-verse crossover, I'm positive that Berlanti and Adler know whether or not it's legally possible, for them to do one shoyld they want to, regardless of Kreisberg using the "royal we" in the answer you quoted

They made an actual suit for the character, and Chyler has talked about the glee with which David reacted when he put it on for the first time, giving the impression that it happened in one of the episodes that they filmed after Human for a Day, so I'm almost positive we'll see J'onn in his green-skinned glory again.

Latter........... which is bogus. Like what they are doing to Jay Garrick.... Why is he even there?????

^ Did you not see where I said that they made a Martian Manhunter suit for David Harewood to wear? We will see J'onn's true form again in future episodes.

Maybe learn to respect that others have there own opinion

Again it's an opinion and many of us have told you why we share that opinion. You should stop acting like you are knower of all with this or any other show. Like when you said this after episode 3:

QUOTE=DigificWriter;32421093]Henshaw is definitely a Cyborg, and it's baffling to me that anyone would believe otherwise, particularly since they weren't subtle about putting some sound effect clues in the episode. [/QUOTE]

You were wrong, way wrong!

You take everything they say for gospel yet when Kreisberg said they didn't know if it was legally possible you don't. So you only take what they say when it suits your point? Hmm noticing a pattern here.

Statements from Andrew Kreisberg and David Harewood.

I am basing my belief that Kreisberg's comment may not be accurate on previous statements from Berlanti and Adler - who are the two supervising EPs and whose job it is to know beyond any doubt what they can and cannot do - as well as on previous statements and comments from the President of The CW (whose name escapes me at the moment) and former CBS Entertainment President Nina Tassler.

Fair enough

Wel you'd think they know but sometimes legalities aren't really that easy. I personally am not that fussed about a crossover now, I think Supergirl introducing MM and Red Tornado as characters shows they have access to some other DC heroes so maybe we'll get a few others on the show and end up with team up events.

Yeah, I suspect they will. That being said, Henshaw is likely his default form.

really we dont need martian manhunter true form to be used for a full 42 mins of a episode. A few scenes here and there where we see his true form is fine enough. Plus it also helps keep costs down on sfx work used for him. As for x heroes/x villains used in shows its really all about who wb/dc legally gives the ok that they can use. We full well know from what smallville was and wasnt able to use, to the characters in arrowverse not being able to use or they had access to but not they cant use them any more. Plus it also effects usage on if x character is being used in other projects.
